Dade's CoP MOD

Description:

This MOD tries to give all users an intense hardcor and realist experience, taking into account also other aspects.

In order to get this objective, on this first release you will notice many substantial changes on the HUD: vision and sound indicators disappear, as well as crosshair, grenade launching meter, as well as damage & granade indicators. Personally, I suggest you not to cross swamps; if you need so, check it with binoculars, it can be a mortal trap.

Criatures also suffers some changes, mainly on their field and distance of view, as on their immunities (from bullets and explosions mainly).

From others authors, together with graphics and sound enhacements, there is a hard modification on weapons based on real data. Moreover, weapons no longer zooms when using the ironsights and grenades (all kinds) are much more destructive than before.

Regarding future versions, I have no clue! Many ideas on my mind (for example, acid rain), but let see what I can do - of course, collaborations are well accepted. Anyway, I wish to make a high review of the commerce system, discounts and quest prizes, and of course, apply any suggestion purposed.

Better Description: (thanks to Holden from L.U.R.K. Mod)

This modification attempts to provide a new level of intensity, while emphasizing aspects of realism.

Some things you'll notice, emphasizing this goal, is the minimalistic HUD interface.

The field of vision, and general awareness of mutated creatures has been modified to better reflect your own perceptions, leading to more intensity in open areas. Their immunities have been modified in tandem with such changes.

This modification incorporates works from other authors, including aesthetic and audible enhancements, as well as weapon parameters developed in order to accurately reflect their real life counterparts, such as higher accuracy and damage variables.

Plans for furture versions of this modification are subject to change given the realm of plausbility for completion, and desire given. Collaboration with others is welcome.

The next logical step is a pass over the game economy.

In this second release, it has been a big rework in the economic system of the game, trying relating prices with law of supply and demand (for example, soviet weapons are cheaper), plus the market has been opened to extend trading with stalkers and traders; be careful with ratios (somes will pay more for certain products than others). In addition to realism, max weight has been set up to 25 Kg (after 30 you wont be able to walk); altough weight of all objects has been reviewed to lower numbers. If your intention is to collect goods in the Zone, you can still use the bandits lite outfit (1kg & able to carry 5 artifacts) or the exosqueleton which will increase your charge capacity to 300 Kg. Also, protection versus radiation and chemical burn have been deleted from default protections (except with the scientific outfits). I have also included the fancy Predator NightVision from the mod made by Dark Trinity, NightVision Variations. Definately, you will need to use all the catalog of drugs and anabiotics from now on. Happy hardcore gaming!

Errr, I don't think I'm gonna post my concerns in that site. I don't speak Spanish. You ought to make a discussion thread here.

On that note, are upgrades for the weapons fixed, or will I have to steer clear (again) of those? Also, since Degtyarev does have military training, those guys carry at least 75lbs on their rucks regularly, equivalent to 30kg, give or take.

GamePlay
- Max. weight to run 25 kg
- Max. weight to walk 50 kg
- Review of all weights of objects, weapons and armors

- Your view will move with big impacts (also the rest of stalkers)

- No default health recover
- Acid rains
- Death corpses disappears after 96 hours of his death (of the game)

- When starting the game, we won't get the detectos and some supplies have been changed
- Depending on KGB budget you will start with 2000 RU (50 euros approx.) or 16000 RU (400 euros approx.)
- You will have high chances to find some objects in certain localizations of the Zone

- Added AtmosFear CoP 1.3 & AtmosFear Fallout
- Added new textures for guitars (My Guitar 2)
- Enhanced textures of maps for PDA and MiniMap (Hight Quality Maps :: for the low PCs folks)

Sound
- Improved weapon sounds
- Improved Sound Effects Mod included

Artificial Intelligence
- 150º Field of View
- Enhanced distance of view (200 Metros). If meteorological circumstances allows it:
· Up to 300 meters when the day is clear
· No more than 50 meters with heavy fog
- Stalkers heal have been increased (50% more)
- Moral is now important for stalkers
- Better aiming of stalkers when crouching
- Some stalkers, if needed, will comply a full crouch ('lay down' of X-Ray Engine)
- Stalkers now play harmonica
- Added by AI Additions Mod:
· NPCs now uses medic kits and banages (depending on health and wounds, and of course, if they are covered)
· NPCs now reload weapons
· If an NPC become the lucky owner of a grenade launcher, be sure he will use it (if he dont risks his life using it)
· Now NPCs fight each others if they are from rival factions
· NPcs are now able to attache sights, silencer or grenade launchers on their weapons
· NPCs will stop shooting if a friend is in their line of fire

Protections
- Weight reduced on almost all the armors
- The Exo suit can increment your weight capacity up to 300 Kg
- Armors and helms protection changed
- Fixed suit durability

Economy
- Reworked based on Demand and Offer law
- Opening of market with stalkers and traders (¡be carefull with ratios!)

Interface
- Changes ih the HUD:
· Sound and vision indicators off
· Minimalist crosshair
· Power indicator when throwing nades off
· Damage indicator off
· Grenades indicator off

- Real weapons value (WikiPedia)

Solid looking mod, tight changelog, easy install and a small memory footprint. Lots of popular mods merged int one and the new mutants have never peformed better.

But the entire dialog tree's, menus and text is all screwed up and in babble code. Probably an .xml typo somewhere that domino effected all the text. For example start says "UI_MM_NEWGAME" instart of New Game.

True, just figured out by another user on STALKERFiles. To get it working just Check folder gamedata/configs and delete localization.ltx

Thanks for advices anyway, I will wait for your comments to improve this project

· Scientists are the higher buyers of Zone related stuff. On the other hand, they sell medical and high tech stuff at lower prices

- Bug when using Noah portal to reach helicopter
