Jupiter Underground in COP

hello
is there a way to load the jupiter underground level map in COP?
or something that would make it possible for me to FREELY explore the level since it is huge and my favorite one? I love undergrounds
perhaps a multiplayer map or something? Idk I've been searching but I haven't found absolutely anything

Mod's like SGM allow you to revisit the Jupiter underground after you do the first trip to Pripyat and it even has missions down there once you reach freeplay, COC is another option, It's a freeplay mod where again you can travel across all the maps and underground areas from the three Stalker games.
If you just want the vanilla game with the ability to revisit the underpass I added it to the merge mod so like with SGM once you've been to Pripyat you can use it to travel from Pripyat to Jupiter.

thanks for your tips, but I was/am looking for a way to get there in the vanilla game, unmodded, and since it's a level with loading screen and all there must be some way to load it, I could try looking into game files but I doubt I would find anything useful, and I don't think you can load levels via console

Jupiter Underground in COP

StalkerJohn99~

Welcome to the GSC Forums!

If you want to explore the Jupiter Underground without modding or playing
a Mod, you must generally wait until you meet the requirements where you
are able to enter. However once inside, you are free to explore the length
of it as you see fit, if you know when and where to do so. It's best to try to
explore each section before you open each vault door. Anticipate action
after you open them. If you come to a point when you must jump or
pass through something and cannot go back, then try to explore that
before that happens. By making continuous and frequent Manual Saves
you can avoid any problems and reload saves as needed to explore behind
your progress. Once you get to the Dome area, your companions will not
leave without you so use that opportunity to snoop around until ready to go.

Did you know there is no requirement to wear the SEVA suit underground?
You merely have to carry it on you. Since it has no night vision, it's really
a crappy suit for the Pripyat Underground. You can wear the Exoskeleton,
Wind of Freedom, the Stalker ( Sunrise ) suit or any one you choose. My
advice is to equip a Meat Chunk artifact through the gassy areas for the
needed protection and take the Antidote ( Chemical Protection ) drugs at
the same time. Other than those brief sections, you can walk around as
you want in any suit without problems. If you take a lot of ammo and
supplies with you ( as needed in Pripyat ) you may find that there is more
loot down there than you can take out. Highlights on the loot to be found
include another SEVA ( I guess as a replacement one so you can dispose
of the damaged one you were expected to wear ) a couple of artifacts and
an RPG-7 and rounds on top of a metal container in the Domed section.

the easiest way is to install the Zonegranter Mod and use the Teleport function to drop into the hidden level-changers on each map with the following coordinates:

ZATON TO JUPITER
position = 467.30,55.52,12.90

ZATON TO PRIPYAT
position = 467.20,55.52,3.20

JUPITER TO ZATON
position = -7.12,14.48,154.08

JUPITER TO PRIPYAT
position = -16.32,14.48,142.78

JUPITER TO JUPITER UNDERGROUND
position = 460.00,46.06,-295.46

JUPITER UNDERGROUND TO PRIPYAT
position = 82.20,35.31,-222.36

PRIPYAT TO ZATON
position = 150.91,22.34,-287.92

PRIPYAT TO JUPITER
position = 139.08,22.34,-287.87

PRIPYAT TO LABX8
position = -78.03,-7.04,100.68

LABX8 TO PRIPYAT
position = -78.06,23.80,100.71

if there are unmarked level changers from Yanov to Zaton and Jupiter, then there must be the underground one somewhere too, right?

does anybody who has the mod knows where the coordinates for the yanov - jupiter underground level changer is? I read somewhere that you can access other level changers by changing jump height or something

haha lmao I've been comparing the coordinates
Yanov to Pripyat and Zaton both seem to be on a building in the Yanov station area, on the one that is inaccessible
the coordinates angrydog posted of these 2 teleports are ALSO very similar
and since it is x y z I've been comparing it to a map of Yanov and indeed it seems to be somewhere in the jupiter factory complex, pretty high (yanov to zaton and pripyat is 14.48 (which I assume IS height, because its the middle one of x y z) and yanov to jupiter underground is 46.06, which is approximately three times as much. so it could be perhaps on top of the tall buildings in the jupiter complex
now I could get on top of them according to a player who said you can use record_demo 1 or something like that to use freecam and then press enter to spawn where the freecam is, but enter does nothing
I bet its on the jupiter factory complex, but it would take probably a long time to find the exact spot, unless someone with the Zonegranter mod tells us where exactly is the 460.00,46.06,-295.46 spot at

I tried changing the jump speed value in configs.db from 6. to 20 but afterwards I couldn't launch the game due to crashing on splash screen, I tried changing it back to 6. but it didn't fix it, so now I'm reinstalling and redownloading the game from GOG

Hi, I've just e-mailed you a small gamedata folder to use, Unpack and then add it to the main game directory to increase the jump height, I changed it from 6 to 16 but if it's not high enough edit that line in the actor file yourself with notepad. All the best.

Normally you need to unpack the game to get at the game files but I sent you all you need.
When you open what I sent it contains the gamedata folder with the relevant file so just place the whole thing (unpacked wih winrar, 7zip or whatever you use to unpack compressed file folders) in the games directory.

thank you for the file
indeed the place I've found is the one that takes you to Jupiter underground
but it takes you there and starts the mission, too, with only Zulu in my team
some dude on a forum said this:
Just learned I was wrong about the level changer on the roof of the Zaton ranger station being mission status variable.
There's more than one level changer zone on that roof.
I'm going to have to examine things more carefully to properly map the roof.

Jenifur Charne

perhaps there are more than one level changer, one without the mission
I'm continuing my search

You need to use it after you've completed the mission if you want to visit the underpass for a leisurely mooch around. As I mentioned if you want to simply visit that and other underground maps at your leisure the best option is the standalone freeplay game Call of Chernobyl which will allow you to go and visit all the underground areas from all three games without any conditions. You will not be able to do it for the vanilla Call of Pripyat game unless you load a save from after you've reached Pripyat and then use the jump mod to reach the transition point and go back down there.

alright so since I started COP over a while ago (before I tried this) and since I wasn't past the mission I had to download a save which had the mission completed and indeed, except 2 monolith guys the area was totally clear! I'm so happy from this

I actually don't need any mod to do it, I only read through the file you sent me, saw it begins at actor_terrain and ends at some merc exo ********* thing, with this in mind I created manually a gamedata/configs/creatures folder, copied fsgame.ltx (which is already in my game folder after installation) in it, renamed it to actor.ltx, then I opened configs file (which is already in my game folder after installation), from the configs file I copied all the stuff starting at actor_terrain and ending at the merc exo ******* stuff, and I changed the jump speed from 6 to any value I wanted
and this is how you can easily do it without downloading anything
so I've officially found a way to get to Jupiter underground without downloading ANYTHING and can now die in peace lol
thanks y'all, I couldn't have done this on my own obviously

just a last thing to note, I copied the fsgame.ltx in the creatures folder in order to have a .ltx extension file so I could copy the text into it (since actor is .ltx extension too) and renaming .txt to .ltx wouldn't work I bet

In my experience, just being able to get somewhere to use Demo_Record
is often a disappointing experience in underground levels since it is too
dark for you to see anything properly and if you get out of on-line range
of the Player, any NPCs, mutants or objects you want to see are not there.

Jupiter Underground in COP

That's a question that I don't think has ever come up before. Can I
see the weather above while in an underground level? Since there is
generally no need to have weather patterns while underground, this
might only apply to levels that share both an underground section and
an above ground section so there is no loading screen between them.

Much like we saw leaving the X-16 Underground in SoC where we jump
through a hole in the ground after meeting the Controller, we have a
new section of the underground load that is connected to the larger
above ground section meaning there is changing weather awaiting us.

Specifically to the Pripyat Underground, will we see rain fall through the
cracked and broken Dome? I seem to remember some rain. However
it involved my character being in the same section. Generally speaking
objects to find on the ground, people and mutants only appear when the
Player gets in on-line range. Be too far away in off-line range, you will
not always see all of those things. Using Demo_record to fly around to
observe things you can see dead bodies left behind or objects others have
dropped like weapons but seeing things that have never come on-line yet
is different. Once you get to the Dome you can fly out to see what is above
but keep in mind it is only an illusion to be seen from one angle, being
at the bottom of the Dome and not something like seeing a hidden city.

I know we get sun rays down there,

Changing the switch distance from the vanilla 150 to 800 or more allows you to move around a map in demo record with your characters presence not affecting how the mutants and npc's act, letting you see how they spend there time, Alun did something similar in a few videos to show his AI working in the zone. I enjoy using it to move across land maps, Like TS said there's no good way to demo record through underground maps due to it being too dark, Maybe Atmosfears brighter nights setting or SGM's cat eye drug would improve it enough, I'll have to give that a go sometime.
