RELOAD ISSUES STATS GONE!

I Changed computers recently and carried over my saved games from the old to the new.
I was doing great on the new system till I stopped by Hawians Trading Post in Zaton and asked about ammo for my weps.

He has denied me all his inventory except basic shit and called me a newbie. A friggin rookie!

When I nearly got into a fight with him several stalkers ambled over and suggested I split till I got some experience.

Needless to say I was totally baffled till I looked at my stats which were like 1000 experience when I changed computers and are now 3.

Where did my SGM stats go?

The SGM fairy ate them, they were really tasty. If I were you, I'd go to Fairyland right next to Toshiba Headquarters in Chicago. If nobody answers go to Zagreb and try there. If none of the above work, then do the following:
1) draw a ionizing radiation symbol on the floor
2) Open the Cheeki Breeki book and summon the Wishgranter
3) Ask him to give you your exp back
4) He'll probably say no
5) Bad luck
\\insert serious part here
I think that sgm experience is tied to gamedata folder rather then saves folder cause if I want to switch mods I cut the gamedata folder and store it somewhere. I copied saves once and still had the exp (copied gamedata folder also). SGM options are tied to gamedata folder, atmosfear too, probably sgm exp. is being written in FILE* f=fopen ("something", "w" ;

I'll work with that.
I've copied over certain parts of the "game data" folder only to retain my customizations of the prices and bartering so I havn't swapped out the entire folder.
Guess I'll try swapping the entire 6gig folder and see what happens.
Thanks for contrib'g

Ok. Your assumptions were correct.
I looked and found 3 "rank" files (2 .ltx and 1 script) and copied them but then I thought about all the treasures and tasks and scripts I'd completed that probably were not in the rank files and just decided to take the entire "game data" file with me.

I transferred the "game data" file (capturing all my modifications) to a flash drive (the file will not copy to a DVD disk) and then to my new computer and started the game.
Hawian had all my ammo and was back to buddy, buddy with additional goodies.

Again. Thanks for your input.

Now I cannot save any further progress.
I can load any of my saved games and even start a new game but when I attempt to save a game, the system crashes and after the intro of a new game, the system crashes again.

Any suggestions?

Ya. Funny.
Kinda like telling some one, "Ha, Ha. Tough luck fool."

What was good was the suggestion he fortunately included on the tail end.
At least his reply was useful.

**************************** ADDENDUM *******************

I've uploaded the crash file to my website here.
http://www.mcspangler.com/FILES/download.htm
I've got a lot of hours invested in this game that I'd like not to have to repeat.

If anybody has any SERIOUS ideas, please take a look and get back to me.

Again, try to summon the Wishgranter and if he says no again, shoot him in the face with a Beretta (care, he is immune to all but silver, gonna need silver ones).

It is custom for STALKER series to have their saves corrupted. To pinpoint the cause, please place a crash log here if it's not a problem, you don't have to copy-paste everything, just the error reason thingy. If you don't know where the error reason thingy is, paste everything.
Ofc, I presume you do get an error log (xray bug report window). If no such thing is popped up, go to Public Documents\STALKER COP\logs (or whatever the name is) and search the latest dump or whatever log there is (can't remember, haven't opened a long time).
I know that Virtual Memory issues can also be a problem (too low). Another name for it is Page File (google it how to increase).
Before you tinker with the Windows settings, try the following. DELETE THE USER.ltx from Call of Pripyat folder (public docs) and try again.
Leave the virtual memory thingy as a last resort (after posting the crash log).

Tried renaming the user.ltx file in my PUBLIC - PUBLIC DOCUMENTS - S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call Of Pripyat folder and aside from dumping all my customized, user settings, the game played fine but crashed again on save. No joy.

Then it's up to the almighty log. Almighty log tell me your secrets (post it here and it will tell me). Trust me I'm a physics student (half engineer)
EDIT: Try to delete everything in the shaders folder, named r3, r4 or whatever.
