Yes Vinotrez. I'm wearing Barge's armor. Have not given the drunk
the two PDAs yet. He seems quite happy to get sloshed every night.
Petruha & Awl were killed at the grove between Emerald & Gas Station.

Call of Pripyat ( 2015 )

Finally did the Mercs at the Recycling Plant. It was ridiculous to see
their bodies vanish after I killed the next man right before my eyes
which made looting impossible. I killed Hook and Ridge last to make
sure I could get their PDAs so final looting involved only 3 bodies still
there by the time I got close enough. Events like this make me wonder
did GSC do ANY testing on an actual play through. I didn't have bodies
( NPCs ) vanish until about 9 days in. If you do all the Zaton events in
9 days you would never see this. I didn't attack the Mercs until 1 month
passed Game Time. That leads me to believe that most Game Testers
unimaginatively test the sequence of events similar to a speed run. Like
checking off tasks on a "to do" list is not the way to properly test a Game.

I know I've complained about this long ago, but excess crows flying, the
ridiculous amount of time mutant bodies remain which in turn directly
impacts NPCs vanishing as soon as they drop ( due to limited bodies
allowed because of the long, long, long time mutants remain? ) just
pisses me off. These are all things the public should have never ever
seen in my opinion. Other than that, I can overlook the occasional CTD
and even the 3 or 4 times my Computer randomly decided to turn off
entirely when the action got too exciting like shooting a mutant swarm.

Time to go talk to Snag about his problems so they can become mine.

That IS a major problem. Once my game became stable and I played into Yanov Station for awhile, I did what I had set out to do in the first place.
I installed SGM 2.0 Geonezis Mod. This is a very good mod and only has an All-in-One Gamedata file & one patch. Its a very busy place now and has many user-selectable options. A BIG Thanks to nashathedog for the ModdDB download page. Back to the crazy Zone!
This Mod is very stable although I have to use less than the best settings because of Atmosphere - it does look much better however and now to decide what my next big video card will be.

Audioave10~

Did you know you can actually manipulate the types of crowds/factions
you get in Yanov Station depending on your actions/achievements that
you do in Zaton? I think it's sad many people play CoP once or twice
doing the same thing without realizing different achievements produce
different results. Everyone, in my opinion, should play CoP without any
Mods once getting Friend of Duty, another Game getting Friend of Freedom
and another Game getting the Man of Balance. Additionally the Friend of
Stalkers or Authority ( Friend of Bandits ) do deserve their own run but
can be combined with the Friend of Freedom or Duty at the same time.

So what does the SGM 2.0 Geonezis Mod have that is so appealing or different?

I don't disagree with you TS but I've never been a big Achievement type of player.
SGM 2.0 includes the Dark Valley map, a ranking system (very simple), and you can join (with tasks) Duty,
Freedom,
Bandits,
Mercenaries,
Dawn (Remnants of Clear sky),
& the Monolith.
Also, I'm a weapon whore...I just have to find them!
You can also add radiation fallouts besides adjusting the blowouts and weather. There is a parts bin where you can put all unsellable weapons. There, other Stalkers use parts from the bin and you get a little money from it when you go back to check it. The bodies (mutants and NPC's) are all time-set correctly. There are options for the HUD plus many others I won't remember until after I click "submit".

I will go back to vanilla C.O.P. in a few months anyway.

I'm not saying don't Mod... I was actually looking into the Valley of
Whispers because it added a large new area west of Zaton that was
not a remake of a previously used level. I'm just saying that people
are not aware that GSC put a lot of effort in CoP ( unlike the other two
previous games ) to make changes through Achievements. For example
the Friend of Freedom enables you to have unique weapons and scopes
that are only available that way such as 5 different types of Susat scopes.
Likewise, Friend of Duty will give you unique Duty weapons and 4 types
of PSO-1 scopes. You won't see them in the Game unless you get those
specific Achievements. Now I realize some Mods are instant gratification
that give you everything so if you don't want to wait, people enjoy that.

Presently Owl doesn't really sell crap because I have not done "The Hit"
or "The Transaction" and you have to go to Jupiter to get the ball rolling
on the other tasks. However I'm a simple person and enjoy the AN-94
and a Stalker suit. I scrounge for supplies and use what's there. You
can make a lot of money selling used weapons but do not sell high end
weapons or ammo to the Traders as they pay poorly. High end weapons
and ammo should be sold to your fellow NPCs. Additionally each night
at the Skadovsk or Yanov, sell excess medkits and bandages to the NPCs
there for the most profit. Later when they leave the next day and when
they are killed, you can loot all that you sold them and then repeat the
process. In effect you can keep selling the same stuff over and over
again, recover it and keep doing that. Just be careful not to sell too
many bottles of Vodka. I've done that a few times and found myself
suddenly overloaded with 40 or 50 bottles after looting the departed.

Not a big fan of achievements myself, because they make the game so easy.
When you help Stalkers with some tasks you basically get free medkits and other stuff, and then you really don't have to loot bodies...

Yes you can see they put some more time into CoP, quest are big, engine is stable this time and bugs almost non-exsitant

But balance is left out sadly...

That's pretty much why I ignore talking the anabiotics to become immune
to emissions since that makes the Game too easy. Extra medkits and stuff
are just things to be sold for profit. I guess if one thinks looting is making
the Game too easy, one could simply refrain from looting and force them-
selves to buy everything. Of course how do you buy without making money
from looting? Selling Artifacts? That's something I never do in all 3 Games.

Yes, I sometimes sell artifacts, because I can always wait for an emission and fetch some.
Looting makes the game interesting and it's immersive. Scavenging stuff from dead bodies and then deciding what to leave for yourself and what to sell.
But getting medkits and ammo(if I recall) every few minutes/hours in game discourages people from looting bodies.

Thats why I avoid doing some quests like that and make money by selling artifacts because I only use those which reduce radiaton.

And I tend to use a mod to make bandits enemies with me after I kick them from Skadovsk

But thats why I love S.T.A.L.K.E.R. you can play the way you want, no restrains

If you're playing SGM you can turn on the option to find armors on corpses. Then you can see how many exos you can get. In one game they averaged about one in every hundred exo-wearing zombifieds. In my current game I've had four from three hundred or so. You also get them from 'Master' type NPCs from all the factions - I like to try to get a full set, and fully upgrade them all.

Looted suits are worth a fortune with the added-in traders - the bandit 'berril' fully upgraded (except the two upgrades done by a specific tech) sells for a little over 111,000!
