Everyone inside the Skadovsk is hostile

Hi everyone, I have recently been playing through Misery 2 and somehow ended up with everyone onboard the Skadovsk being hostile to me (I can't talk to any of them and Beard and Owl won't trade with me). I don't remember shooting any stalkers (not intentionally atleast) but somehow they became hostile. Does anyone know if there is any way to solve this problem without restarting the game (all my previous saves are too far back)?

Many thanks

If it's a simple case of you winging another stalker, all you should need to do is get away from the boat for a couple of hours. That's how it works normally, no idea about Misery 2 since I've not played that mod.

In vanilla COP, you can walk away from the ship for a while until things calm down, as Rattle-Head has stated above. I've not played Misery, but I have seen a few people talking about this on the modDB page, and I think it was stated that it happens if you kill too many STALKERs...and is permanent (i.e. they are always angry with you).

It's a question that is better posted in the Misery v2 thread:
https://www.gsc-game.com/main.php?t=community&s=forums&s_game_type=xr3&thm_page=1&thm_id=5937&sec_id=18

They should be able to give you an official answer there.

Edit: It popped up again about an hour ago on the modDB page (popular topic it seems). One of the people over there (not one of the dev team) posted this:
"If you have killed Stalkers in the area they will lock up and won't talk to you for at least 3 in game days. You're on your own, Stalker. You'll have to live on scavenged gear and food. Also, all factions may be hostile. Keep watch, and don't forget to jump on the forums if you need help locating supplies."

Notice the 'at least' - the next response was from someone who apparently had already passed 6 days, and everyone was still firing on him, so your mileage may vary.

Thanks for the reply! Looks like I'll have to keep waiting then, any idea if it matters where I wait? (i.e will it still work if I wait in the Skadovsk itself?)

I guess the best I can say is that I in my reading of the various posts on the Misery modDB page (and I have read a lot of them), I have seen no mention of the waiting needing to be done in a specific spot. It just seems to be time based from what I understand.

I did also find this on the Misery website itself:

---QUOTATION---

Why do Loners shoot me when I’m close to them?

Neutrals and friendlies in Misery (as well as in real life) basically don’t like it when you point a gun at them. The fact that they attacked you means that you must have been running with your weapon out and accidentally turned in the direction of an NPC. So if you don’t fancy such situations, always have your shooter holstered when near friendlies or neutrals.

---END QUOTATION---

So that is one other reason why people might shoot you without provocation - but from what you've stated, I think more than likely you have accidentally killed some non-enemy STALKERS and will just have to wait it out.

If a NPC(Squad or not) is going TOWARDS skadovsk *by this i mean they are going into it* and you shoot them everyone will become hostile. If they are leaving you can kill as many as you want. The script for that is the same in misery. In a few hours you can come back and SHOULD BE ABLE to be "accepted" again.

Misery 2 has tons of AI issues left unsolved since Alundaio and some other devs parted ways for Call of Chernobyl and other projects.... Team is trying to fix everything but theres only that much you can do without having to rewrite the whole thing.

Note that the AI that was made for it is real good, its just an old version.

They dropped the ball thou by not releasing patches for 4-5 months.... last patch was what in June??

Yes. I believe the last patch was in June. I think the best way to prevent this issue is then using the Installer setting the AI detection range to 100 which is the lowest it can go. It allows you to holster your gun a little closer.
