game file saving question

Is there a way to change the code in a mod so that it saves more than one file?

Meaning the saved file names need to be date and time stamped.

I am not referring to the Windows file dates.

If the save file name is not unique then the same file will be used (written over).

Its beena while since I played CS or CoS, but each saved game does have a time and date stamp... If you use quicksave, well its only going to overwrite teh quicksave... if you save game manually, from main menu, and save a NEW game file, not overwrite another one, each new saved game will have the time stamp.. not 100% sure if using an exsisting saved game file updates the timestamp once its generated on creation...

if it doesnt, simple fix is to create a new saved game file each time..least that way you have checkpoints to fall back on if you encounter a glitch that only a saved game can cure.
