mutants for stalker 2

I didnt see any thread dedicated to this. so.....

Id like to see more subspecies within current mutant lineup if not more mutants. Like say swamp, urban and forest bloodsuckers and blindsuckers for underground maps, each with their own unique characteristics and habitats and male, female, adolescent and adult variations among them. Similar variations for other creatures. And a pack alpha for herding mutants. This would make hunting fun fun fun.

Aquatic and amphibious mutants to watch out for near swamps and rivers....like say a fish mutated and evolved into a sort of anglerfish frog hybrid that lies camouflaged in wait near swamp river banks and gives a short chase if it misses the prey but soon returns back to water. And 3 foot long jumping leeches and stuff like that.

mutant forest monkeys? the treetops are empty.

and randomized size differences between 2 individuals so that you feel especially satisfied taking down a giant pseudogiant.

I agree, more mutants of every kind, can't have too many monsters in a game hehe. Especially mooses, man i'd love me a zombie, mutant, flesheating monster moose on ultra steroids.

Also all mutants dont need to be aggressive - hostile if you intrude, but not raging as soon as they see you. Some could be avoiding you deliberatly, like deer, rabits or lone other mutants.

The Zone has an amazing record with mutants. You never see any that aren't startlingly successful. Most mutations fail, the vast majority before birth, but some do live on.

Where are the slightly less successful ones?

And where are the even more successful ones - the ones that make long hooded coats for Burers, jeans for Controllers and boots, trousers and gas masks for Snorks?

I like where you're going with this.
Would be disturbing to find some fleshy, twisted, newborn bloodsucker or snork(however the hell they would breed as they're all male soldiers to begin with?) lying dead in a corner of a mutant lair. I would really like to see some disgusting failed mutations, like stalkers that have been subject to massive doses of radiation and anomalies, resulting in have their faces half melted and wrong body proportions, piles of flesh and bones that were supposed to be dogs(think John Carpenter's "The Thing" ).

XD
I suppose you're just being funny, but this is the internet so..
The snorks gear has been on them since they were mutated, they were military to begin with. The clothes the mutants wear i always imagined come from dead stalkers or looted shops and houses.

Someone once suggested that controllers were criminals who volunteered for scientific experiments, as a way of atonement. That explains the blue demin jeans and faded white restraining bands they wear.

A few different models and skins for each monster along with randomised body sizing would ensure that you wouldnt suspect that the mutants come from a cloning vat or have a uniform provider.

JP theory. some west african frogs have been known to change sex in a single sex group.

changing the size of mutants would mean creating new animations for each of them, so that's not likely to happen.

actually I meant just scaling the size of the models. Its been done before in a mod for fallout3 I think.

but if you scale the size the animations won't fit anymore.
