you can use the teleport function in the Zonegranter mod to drop into the LC on the map you are in with the following coordinates:

ZATON TO JUPITER
position = 467.30,55.52,12.90

ZATON TO PRIPYAT
position = 467.20,55.52,3.20

JUPITER TO ZATON
position = -7.12,14.48,154.08

JUPITER TO PRIPYAT

I really don't understand the point of this discussion as it should be clear that GSC discarded classic travelling through LCs and use Level Guides instead. All LCs in CoP use silent = 1, which means that no message box will pop up. And even if its set to 0, UI freezes and cursor shows up - exactly like in SoC/CS, but without the message box (it was obviously removed).

Why don't just use Level Guides and remove their conditions for travel dialog phrases?

The question is, though - will they work without modification (haven't tried myself, yet)?

If so, I'd say they qualifiy as general game secrets . . . stuff we've just happened to run across that the devs possibly forgot to remove.

Another example - in the original RUS release, there's one or two red health kits that are completely different from the normal health kits - they have a different description, and operate like the old-school health kits do . . . but they don't "stack" with the others. They could've been quest related, at some point, but the quests were removed - they could've been left overs from CS as CoP was being "built." Either way, I have yet to see them present in v1.6.02.

I have russian version. Where are such medkits supposed to be?

The alternate medkits are actually the 'script' medkits given to wounded Stalkers. It seems there's a glitch that makes NPC's sometimes sell them (much like the guitar, harmonica & PDA).

I have 6 of them and I'm using the Russian Version 1.6.02
They are the same orange color as the regular Medkits and
the written description is the same but they are missing the
additional symbols and legend. They do also cost slightly less.
The only way to tell the difference is when an NPC has them in
their Inventory and you hover your pointer over it to see that the
pop-up description box is minus the small picture boxes at the bottom.
Also as mentioned they don't stack with the other Medkits in your Inventory.

decompile the all.spawn and search the alife files for "level_changer". it will give you all the info for the LCs.
 
Each word should be at least 3 characters long.
Search:    
Search conditions:    - spaces as AND    - spaces as OR
