Crashing EVERY TIME I walk near the loner base in agroprom, apparently the leader there is crashing the game for some stupid reason!!!

In bold text is the 'Z' (height) value of the walk path - if you look at the other Z values for the leader (under the 'look' positions), you see that they are very different - and we know from seeing him that at no point in the game does he move to the roof of the building he is located in, so the walk function that asks him to find this new height is probably crashing your game due to the fact that he simply can't get to that position.

NB: One of the breakable wooden crates in the game has a 'Z' value of approx: 0.8 - so the approx. 6.5. difference from look to walk is probably enough to put the leader on the roof.

Changing the code above requires using acdc_cs.pl as well as starting a new game, so it's not really an efficient option at all. What I would suggest is modifying the stalker_leader script instead: (configs/scripts/agroprom)

Crash just after talking to the Forester for the first time. Or, well, not exactly. Crash after talking to him, then saving, and then any attempts to load the game gives me a CTD.

My save just outside his home after killing the Duty squad hanging around outside(I was Freedom all the way, baby!) also provides the crash.

I've been having many CTDs, here is the report, hope you can solve my problem.

Makes no sence.. or GSC naming "conventions" are just as bad as Red Forest scripting..This error means that Renegades at the Bridge can't walk to the Mines?!? Unless bridge_renegade is actually that Bunch of Renegades that are INSIDE mines. In that case solving the crash should be - kill them all as soon as you can. No Renegades - no crash.

It's a nuke-the-ant solution, buttry it untill some better solution pops up

Btw, people report the same with the Duty squads, not sure how they've solved it (see TS's Red Forest thread in Playing the Game)

Compas tunnel north of redforrest

im playing the latest version, patch 1.5.09,
Alright ive been getting some crashes around the northen part of redforest, right outside foresters house. Basicly the bug 'area' is far out into the forest covering the entrance to the compass tunnel full of bandits all the way to the entrance of the Duty blockade right before the checkpoint to the army warehouses. I cant get the compass. Ive downloaded the experimental script but that didnt help out.

NORTHENER the fixes in this thread are older than a tin of tourist delight.

you could try the most recent save that you have that was made before your current trip to the Red Forest. see if you can go and recreate the situation where you are getting the crash. if it does crash then...

i am going to suggest you backup your saves and uninstall/reinstall and then apply patch 1.5.08 or even 07 if you can be bothered and want to have an extra 'out' (if your savegame still crashes with 07 you can immidiately apply 08 with reinstalling).

You know what, i just fixed it. not a big problem. The compass was missing some info and the game crashed when i got close to it. its cool now
