I've tried reinstalling, updating video drivers, and updating directx. I notice it is causing an error in d3d11.dll which seems strange to me as CS doesn't support DX11. I also checked CoP and it crashes if I try DX10 mode as well; it works fine in 8,9, or 11 though. Any help would be appreciated.
Systems specs are:
Asus P8Z77-V Deluxe
16GB Crucial DDR3-1600
Geforce GTX 670
Sound Blaster Z
Windows 7 Ult 64bit
On my older system I had an ATI card and could run in DX10 without issue. I'm not sure if its a driver conflict or my DX10 installation is bad. Or according to the log its trying to use DX11, not really sure on that.
Same happens to me. I haven't played Clear Sky for appr. 7 month, I did not change anything but now whenever I try to start the game it crashes with a black screen. This ONLY occurs when I set it to "Enhanced dynamic lighting of objects" (don't know exactly how these settings are correct in english, I play in german language) AND fullsceen mode. Fullscreen mode together with "Enhanced dynamic lighting" does not crash and windowed mode together with "Enhanced dynamic lighting of objects" does not crash.
This is very frustrating because I did use the exact unchanged settings that I used 7 month ago and I have no idea what causes this misbehaviour.
