Have you guys considered porting this, in part or full, to Call of Chernobyl?

Lot of good ideas here that would liven up CoC.

I haven't seen a post from Smoq here in a while. I'm guessing real life just happened and he's been busy.

I personally think he should stick to Clear Sky for now just because of the A-life differences, but he could probably convince me otherwise.

Either way I dunno when he'll update it again if ever, but check out the Warfare mod on Moddb for Call of Chernobyl.

Just go to Addons and look for it, it's not updated for the most recent version as I imagine he's waiting for 1.4 for CoC, but it should do what you're looking for.

Faction Wars Mode - CLear sky

I instaled a mod correctly, and i have some good times on it
But some times ago, the game crashes. Its ctrashes only when i (NPC) goes to the trader for some job or reward
I serach something about this crash, and i saw on MODDB site that this is a often threat to many players who played a game with this mod

I download and instal it from this site
This is a second version (with crashes)
But many earlyer i played tha same mod, but first vrsion
Those anyone knows what is whit first version, or someone have a mod without crashing

Using your weapon swapper in Shadow of Chernobyl mods

Hi, Smoq. Thanks for the cool idea and code for the weapon swapper in TFW. I'm now using it in AMK Autumn Edition - it's great to be able to freely equip weapons in Shadow of Chernobyl. Your code works as is, no tweaks for SoC though you did for Clear Sky - very cool work.

I've also extracted the weapon swapper code and assets and bundled it at http://www.moddb.com/mods/miscellany-v1ld/downloads/tfw-weapon-swapper along with a little how-to on merging it so others may use the code in their SoC/CS mods. I hope you do not mind - this is too useful and cool a feature not to be in every mod.

I think your underlying idea here that makes it possible is beautiful in its simplicity. Thanks!

I have several questions:

1) What kind of blue (on the PDA) troops of loners who have immortality? Each of them has an individual name and there are no more than 5 units in the game;
2) The settings indicate that you can put the maximum number of mutants per location. In the case of patrols, is there a similar limit for the location, or for the whole game?
3) It also says that the chance of a patrol is 60%. Why is it so high and in what case is this probability triggered?
4) If I join the bandits (for the sake of balance, they are the weakest in the game), will I lose access to all other merchants and craftsmen?
5) Where can I learn more about all types of loners?
6) While I ran into security traders, loners and those same "blue" squads. What is the specificity of each of them?
7) How does the theft from my stashes work? Do stalkers have to go through the place of the cache, or is there a% probability of being lost? Is the lock secure, can it be opened?

The mod really transforms the game and makes it a non-linear sandbox. In fact, this mod implements what was missing in the original. It is with this mod that the game becomes the best in the series. It is a pity that the author was not able to bring his ideas about the economic system to the end.

By the way, I watched the actions of the AI in the PDA a bit. And I noticed that already from the start, two clear favorites emerge: clear sky and freedom. The weakest faction are the bandits (for whom I started playing to complicate the game). It became interesting and behavior mutants that have been actively traveling between locations over long distances. However, their increased interest in the second building of the Institute of Agroindustry has not changed from the original version. This makes it very difficult to obtain a second base for Duty and Mercenaries. Need to play more and see how good or bad it is.
