While in-game hit escape then press F5 from the menu screen. All of TFW's settings are on the screen there

Those textures are fine for me in DX10, so it could be a corruption caused in the un-packing process. Alternatively it could be some minor corruption in those files that only causes issue on certain driver versions / game settings / video cards or whatever. I really don't know, one of the affected textures hasn't been altered by us anyway, it's straight out of the alpha build, so it can't be an issue with exporting or texture formats, it must be something happening after that.

Incidentally, I've stopped using WinRar altogether in favour of 7-Zip, maybe that has something to do with it?

I was finally able to get to those textures. let me apologize for not being specific on the bump map problem...it was the Bump# that had an issue along with the original texture uploaded with the mod. I had an issue opening the bump# into GIMP, so I used an alternative Bump# (which seems to work fine). One issue I've noticed with the bump# was, it was an awful dxt1 conversion. I usually try and keep textures and there bumps in the same compression format... i.e. dxt1 or 5. as for using dxt3, I really don't see the point, as in most cases dxt3 and dxt5 are usually relatively the same size, but dxt5 (imo) is a better quality. dxt 1 is fine for textures that are hardly seen or to save graphic memory vs eye candy. I uploaded some comparison screen shots along with the textures (both dxt1 and dxt5). My 3 year old has been very needy as of late, so I hope I didn't mess anything up or miss something while doing so.

I see what you mean about that bump#, never actually checked that as I assumed it would be fine (blame GSC for that one ). As for why those other textures aren't working I can only assume it's something to do with the archiving / un-packing procedure that's borked them. All the bumps were exported in DXT5, and all the diffuse were mostly DXT1 (it saves a lot of memory and is pretty much indestinguishable in-game for busy things like NPC textures).

I'll re-export all the actor textures and upload them as an archive.
