If you had been following my merc wars, you will know that the faction controling is part of Merc Wars only, this is just the faction wars which unlocks all other factions, so its just vanilla with Faction Wars ontop of it, the new update there will be freeplay and an open zone with merc wars, and i may include an ability to start at any faction base.

Shit, seems I'm having some trouble, trying to decompile the all.spawn of OL 2.2, only problem is that the decompiling script I have doesn't have all the values to decompile the AMK stuff.

Edit: Nevermind, fixed it myself.

Edit: Again, feh, this is time consuming, you wouldn't happen to remember off hand what all you edited i the all.spawn would you?

damn, I've been trying to figure out what differs between the two, I thought it might be the communities, you know, so it would recognize every smart terrain point as everyone elses so everyone could occupy it, no such luck, those values are the same between the two all.spawns, only thing I can notice really different is the OL one has the extra anomolies in it but I haven't looked that deep into it.

have you tried a file merging program? they usually highlight the differences and let you choose which values to keep, or not to do anything... makes it hells faster than finding differences by eye, even if you change the values yourself.

Found a well recommended merger, merging the files now, I'll let you guys know if the game explodes in my face.


Edit: Dammit all to hell, I can't recompile the all.spawn, whenever I try I get an error that says

died at stkutils/ini_file.pm Line 30, <GEN0> Line 55.

anyone know how to circumvent this problem?

The results of this mod is really great! After I clear the military checkpoint under the bridge after 2 minutes I saw a small skirmish near the bridge.

2 Mercs + 1 Bandit all veterans with LR300s + scope vs 1 Freedomer with a G36 vs 2 Duty members with AK-74/2 and AN-94 vs 3 Loners with L-85, MP5 and an AK-74/2 + around 8 blind dogs.

After the Mercs and the Bandit died, Duty and Freedom started fighting then a bunch of dogs joined in attacking the Loners, in the end 1 Loner and 1 Freedomer survived.

I hit jackpot with all the loot on the road and finally got the cash to buy Sid's modified Groza.

OK Jamie My experience so far :

1) Spoke to Wolf and got the pistol.
2) Went to the millitary base and wasted all the suckers (about 12!!!)
3) Sold the loot to sid and bought more 9x18+p+ ammo
4) Took out the bandits at the "carpark" and saved nimble
5) Got the suit for Nimble
6) Killed millitary at the bridge
7) Did mutant job for Wolf
8) More trading with Sid
9) Did jobs for Sid IE: Jellyfish,Stonflower,pseudodog tail,mutants,meatchunk
10) Took job from Sid to kill the stalker who is always in Cordon, but he was at the Red Forrest!!!
11) Finally went back to the car park to see whats happening and found a Freedomer in the sniping position :

Petruha and the loners felt safe with the freedomer around and I joined them for songs around the fire :

12) Went back to the farm to check it out and saw it was now held by Duty :

On my way back from the farm, I met this guy by the bridge. He was a long way from home

13) Decided it was time to go to the garbage to check out whats happening there, so went to Sid and took the job to kill the two bandits in garbage.

Thats where I stopped playing.

Everything was very stable and it was nice to se all the strangers in Cordon even though I didnt really see any Wars as such, I`m sure they will come with Duty and Freedom camping close by
