Don't worry about it. Just be glad it works. It was broken one time for over a year.

Haha indeed, sadly I haven't turned up anything, I'll do a bit of digging and check back here at some point to hopefully get a response on this, and the actual topic I made although you covered it pretty well Tejas, still some more feedback would be nice, either way I might just make another thread if I can't figure this out in a day or so.

Ah well thanks, and he does every now and again, usually in the Clear sky mod discussion section. I had to bug him to actually sign up here and then post a problem he was having with some mods he tried out. He doesn't come here much but his name was Agressive_Napkin. If you have steam Tejas you can give me your steam name and I'll add you. We normally play on steam using the voice chat function so it's more fun for us , usually either on Stalker or other multiplayer games.

On Vista and 7, SoC screenshots are stored by default here:
C:\Users\Public\Documents\stalker-shoc\screenshots
Alternatively you can get FRAPS and take screens with that, which will store them at C:\Fraps (add \program files if you install it there). The demo would do fine, you only need to buy it for unlimited video recording length and no video watermark.

Something odd about the Cordon

Cordon can be a very exciting level, while you can just chill with the Rookies in their various camps in the level, killing all of the Military provides endless fun until you finally leave and let things calm down (the Military finally comes back to their positions, etc.)

I've had Rookies randomly die in the Rookie Village as well and it is most likely due to a lone Military guy killing them. I lost Tolik AND Nimble to this. What's odd is that often nobody else even seems to have noticed and there's not always even a dead Military guy left behind, so I don't have a clue how this works. Sometimes NPCs really DO drop dead for no reason though, most notably in the Garbage in the three-man STALKER camp to the east of Seriy's Hangar.

Wolf has been dead in my game for months but I still clear out the Boar Lair and destroy the Fleshes at the Farm just to honour his memory.

One fun thing to do in the Cordon is to kill all of the Military at the Checkpoint and at their base at the very south. Then go north and kill all reinforcements that you meet along the way. Next, get on top of the roof of the building that contains the Level Changer to Garbage (can be a bit hard to do but you need to climb the yellow staircase south of it, jump on the white border, jump over the tree branches ahead of you (hardest part,) then walk along the border to get there.)

After this, kill all Military Reinforcements from behind as soon as they walk out. They will obviously be notified of your presence if they hear or see you kill another one of them, and can sometimes be notified just from fighting a STALKER who gets in their way, but it should still be easy to make a very large amount of bodies pile up.

Something odd about the cordon

One time I was walking out of the Rookie Village towards Sidorovich's
Bunker and hiding directly above it was a Military Soldier who surprised
me and started shooting at me. Other times I was spending the Night
in the Cellar Room with all the furniture & light bulb and the Stalkers
in the Rookie Village would get excited hearing Mutants and run out
into the Night. I think Nimble in one Game met his demise by doing
this and stepping into an Anomaly north of the Rookie Village campfire.

Another thing you reminded me of is the Stash hidden on the roof of
the Building in the Cordon that is the Level changer. If you get up there
and go to the western window there is a Walker Pistol & Ammo up there.
You can jump to the back roof where there is a door but unfortunately
you can't get inside or jump into the TZ from up there. In CS I would
watch battles between the Bandits & Loners take place inside and would
not take sides. If you waited until the Loners took the entrances to
Garbage you would not have to worry about being mugged. The Cordon
was one of the best Levels to continue to play in the Priboi Story Mod.

There's all sorts of interesting stuff hidden in the Cordon. One thing I recently found were some boxes inside of an almost impossible to reach truck a bit south of the Abandoned Farm with the Fleshes, unfortunately after many attempts I successfully reached them just to find out they were empty.

The Military is the most fun faction in the Zone in terms of moving from level to level, getting them to invade Rostok never gets old. Currently trying to see if I can make them invade Seriy's Hangar, already got two Privates to walk up to it but I killed them.
