Additional Nightvisions for SoC

Description:

This is not a "realism" mod . . . it's meant to spruce up the vanilla gameplay a little bit more (although can be easily
incorporated into other mods). There are now 3 different "green" nightvisions, ranging in clarity and low-light amplification
from worst to best; 3 "tactical" nightvisions, which also range in clarity and low-light amplification, and 3 "blue"
nightvisions following the same range as the other two.

The "best" of each style won't necessarily be found with the "best" armor suits - I've done this on purpose.




Feel free to use this in any upcoming mod, give credit where it's due, and enjoy!

Good work. I liked it so much, I ported it over to my CS stuff. Seems to work fine.
Edit-- Hmm, not as easy as I thought. Your first rel ported easy and worked OK. This one is a little harder. Think I just have to get all the new names right, not sure.

adds CS-style anomaly post-processing effects. Each type of anomaly now has it's own effect, instead of all anomalies using the radiation effect. Radiation and psy effects are a lot clearer now, and not as grainy.

Umm how do I make sure this mod works? Im trying to integrate into SMP, but it doesnt seem to be doing anything....I used winmerge with teh 2 configs, and dropped the files into place

you might have to manually merge the .ltx files.

You need to make sure that all the new sections in the postprocess.ltx are in your gamedata version - then you'll need to make sure that the new sections are setup in outfit.ltx

I remember having to put in new threads for the post process, and I did change the night vission properties, anything else in the suits?

naw - just make sure you've spelt things correctly - IIRC, and the engine can't find the section, it doesn't play anything at all.

Also, with SmP and some other mods, you might need to also add sections to suits located in the unique_items.ltx

YEah I used winmerge for teh whole thing, I find it makes it easier
Can you post of some pics of the different effects cause I must be stupid to not see the difference :-\

there's some screenshots up on FileFront . . .

although, some of the "new" effects have been taken from CS - it's kinda hard to show how the effect changes with a single screenshot.

Like I saw something with death, but there really is nothing different upon death, so Im not sure whats going on....
