Well, it's slightly better than the previous one, but you've still just applied a filter over it - that's not how skinning is done

You really do have to take your time and learn the features of Photoshop/GIMP if you want to create skins. There are tons of tutorials out there that will help, but spending 30 seconds to put a filter over the whole thing is not the way to go.

Again, patience, perseverance and practice. Skinning is not about filters, it's an artform and should be approached as such.

adjust the levels so the skin is brighter and mess around with it. instead of releasing a new skin everytime just post updated screenshots on this thread.

also, dont forget about brightness/contrast, hue/saturation... so forth

It can be frustrating sometimes that it seems you are just missing the perfected skin/texture, yet so close

Good hunting, stalker!

I think it's more a case of getting to know the basics of image editing before trying to make a 'finished' skin. Think of it like learning to play the guitar - you can't just pick it up and expect to play a tune, you at least need to practice your chords first, and it takes a while to get to the point where you can even attempt to play a tune.

So my advice is to get to know the basics of image editing - do some tutorials (there's plenty to be found online), they don't have to be anything to do with skinning, just learn the basics of how the tools work before trying to make something with them.
