Dynamic Weather

This is a small mod that addresses the problem of weather always being the same every day.

The idea is to have different weather from day to day but since the transitions are initiated randomly it is possible to have more days with similar weather as well as days with mixed weather from different day cycles.

Other features:
- restored sun (from Beta Style Weather by dez0wave/xStream)
- dark nights, some very dark some a bit lighter

The mod also addresses some lighting issues with some vanilla skies where shadows were way too blue.

Credits:
- dez0wave and xStrream for Beta Style Weather (my mod is based on it)
- trojanuch for answering many questions and providing great input

Version 0.9.4 available

The mod and "adapter" patches for Priboi Story 1.1 and Oblivion Lost 2.2 mods can now be downloaded from my web page.

Changes since version 0.9:
- made nights a bit brighter to be playable with good nightvision
- made moonlight considerably stronger when moon is visible
- made early mornings and late evenings brighter
- increased ambient light in general
- added sun/moon light component to ambient light level
- fixed OL2.2 compatibility
- fixed DEXXX's Blowout Mod compatibility
- added Priboi Story 1.1 compatibility

This version is still being tested. Consider it an "under development" version.

Thanks to:
- Bangalore: for reporting the bug with OL2.2 compatibility and helping identify the cause and testing the fix
- Racemate: for testing Priboi Story 1.1 compatibility in Static Lighting
- xRatx: for reporting and helping find the problem with DEXXX's blowout compatibility

Experimental by-level customization support

v0.9.5 allows you to override some settings (e.g. ambient audio) by level. This was developed to make it possible to integrate Ambient Audio Overhaul by {imperialreign} with DW.

I post this for two purposes:
1) to make modders examine the implementation and think about what kind of possibilities this may bring other than customizing ambient sounds (e.g. making a merge with Panoramic fog strips).
2) to make volunteers use this instead of v0.9.4 to regression test the compatibility features.

Download: http://zhat.dk/stalker/files/dynamic_weather_v0.9.5.7z

Note: the by-level overrides are in config\weather_dynamic_ext.ltx

Weather cycle tool

This is the source code for the program that I use to automatically adjust the following settings in the weather phases:
clouds_color
fog_color
rain_color
ambient
hemi_color

These settings are adjusted based on colors of vanilla sky and cloud textures and the light cubes (i.e. #small textures) and the following settings:
sky_color
sun_color

There are no useful comments in the code, sorry... consider this code to be in public domain and do whatever you feel like doing with it.

Link: http://zhat.dk/stalker/files/weather_cycle_adjuster.zip

The tool is built by compiling adjust.c with your favorite C compiler (gcc and vc both work fine).
To use the tool make the changes to the weather cycle file and drag/drop it onto the executable. It should create a backup file and overwrite the original file so you can examine the difference e.g. with windiff. To repeat the process you'll need to rename or delete the backup file.
