How did you do that? Usually, you're dead before you get up that close.

Mr Molecule~
That's a whole Story in itself.
But I'll give you the Short Version:

I had one hour to get to the Barkeep in Rostock
from the Train Station in the WILD TERRITORY
for completing "Kill the Stalker in Yantar" Job.
I made a short sprint through the main street and
was ambushed by a Bandit ahead and one behind
me who ran after me when I suddenly passed him.
I ran..he ran...the 2nd Bandit was shooting and yelling
when abruptly I stopped--- Whipped around with the
Shotgun and caught him up close in my face where as
you can see all the Screenshots begin in sequence order.

http://forum.abit-usa.com/showpost.php?p=890630&postcount=1221

In the third screenshot, he is so close to me you can
actually see the Watch on his wrist and Ring on his finger.
The third screenshot also shows my Death-blast to his chest.
The fifth shows the last rounds he fired with his last breath.
By the Eighth and Ninth Screenshot you can see not only is
he Dead but his dropped weapon is available now for pick-up.

TALES from the WILD WILD WILD TERRITORY

mastablasta~

Yes.. that's me in my shiny new Exoskeleton.
How did I get it and what happened to YANTAR?

That is a Story in itself that goes all the way back to the...

TALE OF THE 10 SUITS:

I had 10 new Suits in YANTAR that I wanted to get out and
up to Rostock, which of course meant passage through the
WILD TERRITORY that was beyond anything I had seen before.
My first Load shown below was a SEVA Suit and a SSP-99M,
with my worn Stalker Suit and me wearing my Ecologist Suit:

http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/8250/ttwt02jk1.jpg

I enter the WILD TERRITORY and immediately see a Pack of
several Pseudodogs on the Hill and hear the Blind Dogs to my
right. I sprint to the west along the bank reaching the top.
Carrying all these Suits I don't have ammo to waste on Dogs
and passing through the Zombie Tunnel I emerge above:

http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/5102/ttwt01rn3.jpg

There are Mutants everywhere in the WILD TERRITORY.
I have seen Pseudodogs and Blind Dogs in huge packs.
Swarms of Rodents can be heard. A Snork screams out.
I check my PDA Map and I'm not surprised at the Job:

http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/1644/ttwt03tu3.jpg

As I approached the Mercenary Tower ( unfinished 3 Story )
in the WILD TERRITORY, my Mini-Map indicates 6 People
which my PDA Contacts soon reveals are not friendly:

http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/1341/ttwt04fq5.jpg

I quickly went in hugging the Building and ducking in
the alcove right before the Stairs. 2 Mercenaries came
around the corner and we fought and they lost at close range.
A 3rd tried to flank me on the ground and I got him at 60 feet.
I approached the Stairs when the 4th Merc got closer and tried
to rush up behind me with my machine Gun getting him at 30 feet:

http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/6288/ttwt05ug4.jpg

I ran up the Stairs and got into a shootout with the
5th Mercenary in the Stairway where I took more damage:

http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/31/ttwt06cg3.jpg

I killed the 6th and last Mercenary on the top of the 3rd Floor
where he was surrounded by half a dozen dead Dogs from earlier.
I looked over the edge around me and saw several Pseudodogs,
Wild Dogs, and swarms of Rodents everywhere on the ground:

http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/3320/ttwt07df1.jpg

I was very low on Ammo and needed not to waste my PAB-9.
I had a couple of Stashes here but mainly dead Mercenary
weapons and supplies so I would need to quickly check them:

http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/5513/ttwt08eq5.jpg

I dropped the SEVA & SSP-99M off with a new Freedom Suit
I had left here before that needed to go to Rostock too.
More important...I grabbed the TRs 301 with 400 Rounds:

http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/3755/ttwt09fa6.jpg

And of course I saved my Game. Always very important to do
at calm moments when you're safe, after the heat of battle
and you win or even when you shift your Inventory around
just a little. Because this is the ZONE you never know
when the next breath you take just might be your last:

TALES from the WILD WILD WILD TERRITORY

TALE OF THE 10 SUITS: ( Part Two )

I quickly realized this was NOT the Wild Territory of old,
this was the 1.0004 fix that made a major change in more
numerous and varied Mutants with tougher combat and more
action. This was the new improved WILD WILD WILD TERRITORY:

http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/7922/ttwt11ro4.jpg

With the Mercenaries in the south and Bandits in the north
each Group had positioned themselves in strategic choke-points
with large swarms of roving Mutants around me everywhere.
Even in the daytime I like to turn on the Blue Night Vision
for dangerous dark areas like this shown one behind my back:

http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/8657/ttwt12tu7.jpg

I had taken out the Mercenary 3-Story when I was so busy scoping
out the WILD TERRITORY with my Binoculars that I was jumped
by two Snorks of which I got one... but of course as Part One
ended, the second one got me. I went back to my saved Game
a few minutes before when I had grabbed the TRs 301 and Ammo:

http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/6935/ttwt13ch2.jpg

Kept an ear out for the Snorks coming up the Stairs and bagged 'em.
Used the scope to get 4 Pseudodogs and half a dozen of the Blind.
Some Rodents here and there. Decided to get down from there and
go north on the Tracks, cut through the Buildings to come out on
the other side where I was jumped by 2 Snorks and a Bloodsucker:

http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/3904/ttwt15pm0.jpg

As I was searching the Bloodsucker I was surprised attacked
by the northern Bandits who had quietly slipped around the
barricade by the Tower and really caught me off guard:

http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/9599/ttwt16ks6.jpg

The Mutants, the Mercenaries, the Bandits...
all were working superbly in the 1.0004 Patch and
this was tougher than hell but I was having a blast.

After killing the Bloodsucker, I had saved my Game.
I restarted my 10 Suit Mission to Rostock this time
ducking in this alcove and switching weapons to the
Viper and making a better stand than the first time:

http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/1862/ttwt17lk4.jpg

It was a "Trenchcoat" Bandit. The highest ranking, toughest,
most deadliest type of Bandit. Like "Borov", "Friar" and
"Poker" in the DARK VALLEY... these are the veterans who
lead their Bandit Gang to try to control the WILD TERRITORY:

http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/5015/ttwt18ea3.jpg

I took cover behind the Sheds with my back to the wall.
First came a Snork and a Bandit. The Viper bit them.
Two more bandits approaced along the open sheds where
I sprung out and sprayed them. One fell and the other
took cover. I rushed him and shot him and then met
thier Leader: Sanyok Invincible, in the street where we
shot at each other like a duel between two Gunfighters:

http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/7923/ttwt19hz9.jpg

6 mercenaries, 5 bandits, assorted Mutants of just
about every kind...the WILD TERRITORY was a lot more
Wilder and more Dangerous and I was not out of it yet:

http://img235.imageshack.us/img235/3620/ttwt20rs1.jpg

I had 10 Suits to get to Rostock and so far I was only
bringing in the first two ( which were the two best )
but the WILD TERRITORY was different than all my time
before in the ZONE and truly lived up to it's name:
