I think its a issue in merging diffrent files. I just quickly tried it with redux,not really putting effort into the merging,just for a test.
I think it can be done. But the hardest part (for me anyway) is adding the inventory icon of the sleepingbag into redux inventory icons...
Someone with a bit more experience with modding stalker might get this to
work in Redux,hopefully...

EDIT: Ok,so i tried just adding the mod,with it's own Inventory icon file and without merging anything. Sleeping works in redux,but because of the inventory icon file,i lost icons for stuff added by redux,like tracer rounds,akm etc. But sleeping works now.

Okay a quick recap.
After reading through the scripts a bit more:
Sleeping now operates by a timer, if you get to 30 hours no sleep, vision will start blurring and you'll eventually coma out for a period of time.
NRG drinks will stave off sleep for a little bit, but you'll sleep longer after.

The most important files to merge are scripts/bind_stalker.script, which is really easy, just search for the amk. string and that will give you whats needed, just 2-3 lines.

config/misc/items.itx, is also easy, the bit you need is down the bottom, the item called "matras" (Sleeping Bag is string name)

The rest of the files in config/gameplay and config/text/eng, aren't super important, but are good if you want proper descriptions of things and a tutorial on sleep in the pda.
Dead easy to merge too.

This release is more intended for people to look at even though it is playable. Everyone can learn a lot from it, just like ABC mod (which this drops straight into with the exception of items.itx)

If anybody has tips on how things work, or more info on disecting it for the value of learning, please post your info.

One last note, if you use a mod that has sleeping already in it, you can take out the dialog for it, and overwrite sleep-manager and dreammod with whats in here, basically the same thing but with a few more functions in the sleep_manager for use with the gui and timers.

Looks sweet, but what else does this mod add?...it cant be just the sleeping bag because you have the "ui_npc_monster.dds" and "ui_icons_actor_djekman_armor.dds" just to take 2 examples. Could you do just a sleeping bag mod with nothing else?

It is what I said, there is nothing else to it. I included those files by accident so delete them if you like

do you think its possible to spawn a backpack into a car? (as in military, and bar...) because if it works, than we can use it to pack a lot of stuffs in the car, and it will be useful. now im testing it, i just mentioned it

Well can you tell me exactly which files i shall keep to just have the sleeping bag, write just the file names and not a whole diary

We could figure out how the car is activated, and going by the example I've provided below (the simple version), it would be dead easy to check if we activated the car, pop up a gui asking if you want the inventory or to get in, then bring up a trade screen.
I guess you'd have to treat the car like an NPC for the inventory screen...
The amk.script has a lot of useful functions for this, such as loading and saving variables...

Here is the advanced complicated version from AMK

And this version is a nicely trimmed down version that should give you a great idea on how to get obects in the inventory to call up a gui when they are used.

Which means, someone could in theory create a tv that plays a movie from the inventory once it's used, or perhaps a repair kit, or a medkit with multiple uses..
Say, use %, P and so on of a medkit.
Or a drugkit... Make your own antirads, vodka, speed as long as you have the ingredients...
Note:
The gui is a little broken in this version, if you figure it out, let me know.
AND! The sleeping bag is at Sidrovich traders. Doesn't cost.
 
Each word should be at least 3 characters long.
