Adding the "removed weapons" without the Trader Mod?

Hey Guys, I've been reading a lot around here and trying various mods, I've finished STALKER and I've gotten 6 endings I think it was and I'm trying for the last ending at the moment but I'm thinking of playing through again for the hell of it.

This time however I'd want to be able to buy the Browning Hi-Power and the TOZ-34 shotgun at the first trader. I've tried the trader mod but it just makes the game seem to easy and I uninstalled it after I unfortunately got a taste for those weapons easy on.

I was hoping perhaps someone could make a small mod that made the TOZ-34 and Browning Hi-Power available for purchase at the first trader but so they acted like the regular weapons. Like they might not always be there for sale or such and new weapons may just appear in the window over time.

I'd also like to be able to buy the F2000 from say the Freedom trader so the weapon could get a workout before Chernobyl NPP.

I'm not trying to sound needy, I'd just appreciate this a lot. I'd like to try myself, I've looked at the modding guide but I never was good with any computer esque programming, I a 3D modeller by nature, not a coder.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I just posted a similar thread... Hopefully one of us gets pointed in the right direction (or given a freebie by a nice modder!) because I would like to have the same things, more or less.

I don't do 3d modelling or programming, but I am good with textures and 2d art

stupid question, why don't you just use the trader mod and don't buy the other weapons?

i doubt a modder will do such a mod, when there is everything you need within the trader mod.

Indeed a stupid question as I already said why I don't use the trader mod. =D

Besides, what happens when I want to buy more ammunition when I've pruchased the 200 rounds already on sale?

guys, making a mod that will do alot of other things as well as allow these weapons. If i do well today then i'll make a special version that just allows these weapons to be bought from the traders.

please explain:
what is the file controling the first trader (sidorovich)?
what is the file controling the scietist trader? the ecolog?
what are these files all about - trade_trader.ltx and trade_dolg.ltx?

also in these files i see a lot of "after" codes. like the availability of item after u complete a certain mission.
is that true? am i correct? if i want a certain trader to have a certain item from the beginning all the way to the end of the game, which section should i change?

You have to EDIT the Trader you want to sell Weapon/Armor/Ammo...
The first trader is called "trader_trader.ltx"

You MUST change ALL of the " After Condition/Mission is done " in order to see the stuff in Stock...

The first top part is " BUYING, from you " down a bit is the " Selling to you "...
The numbers are easy :

af_gravi = 1, 0.01

The "0.01 " is how much money he buys for...
The higher the number the more you get...
The LOWER the number the less you get...

Example :
0.5 is More money...
0.05 is Less money ...

The Selling part is :
af_gravi = 1, 0.01

" 1 " means ITEM INSTOCK...
" 0.01 " means HOW much TIMES you pay...

I've been messing with traders, primarily to get them to sell at least basic ammo of all calibres (tired of having met about 10 people with Dragunovs and having collected about 20 rounds for it, ever; how the hell am I supposed to learn to use it? Anyway, the whole point of the Dragunov is that it uses a common machinegun round).

NecroViolator, I read a different explanation of the numbers in the sections governing what traders sell you. It seemed a more likely system as it accounts for variation in trader stock.

First number = number of times to roll a 10-sided dice
Second number = number below which each item is stocked

Example:

wpn_spas12 = 2, 0.4

Trader rolls a D10 twice. if dice is 4 or lower, gun is stocked; this check is repeated for each roll, giving variation in what is stocked. This SPAS-12 has two 40% chances to be stocked.

"dolg" seems to be how Duty ended up being translated and governs the Duty trader in Rostok.
"ecolog" is the scientists at Yantar
generic governs what all NPCs will buy from and sell to you.
If you want a trader to have something all the time, change all the sections beginning [supplies_. If you only do the first section he will stop selling it when you fulfil the second condition.

BTW that Browning HP is ridiculously powerful; more damage using 9mm Para than the Big Ben 9x39mm DE, far more accurate and twice the clip size.

The HP is also highly accurate, just several animation flaws annoy me with it but it's still a nice gun. Both in the game and in real life.

Alphawuffy, I'd be very greatful if you could do this for me!

yeah, sorry i'll get it done. Just had alot of problems with my mod last night. I've switched my base mod to Realism enhancment so i'll see if i can get everything done without it crashing due to no tracer rounds ect being in normal.

If it does not work i'll nick the trader files from frostys mod and change them around as that works 100%.

EDIT: arrg, without using realism enhancment, the HP is going to be a tad overpowered. I'll see what i can do.
