Yeah, skipping Wolf is an essential part of directly influencing where Yurik or the the Trenchcoat Loners end up. This video shows my usual Wolf-skipping method and how it can lead to Yurik moving to the Cordon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j_mSBOMzpVY

Thanks for reply Max Chill...The only thing I can think of which may change the game mechanics would be me not visiting a certain area (Cordon) for six/eight months (real time) because that has been the periods between visits...There is a lot of mystery still in the Zone

Cheers...

Very interesting, Wobbegong. I've never spent a long enough period of time away from any area to see A-Life accumulate like that, but it makes sense as they often seem to continue spawning even after their destination camps are full. If I ever get around to playing a long game like that I'll have to check it out.

Speaking of "strange results" have you ever come across an unusually large pack of dogs in the Cordon area? By large I mean around 40 or more. This has occured for me twice between Cordon level changer and the railway bridge. Damn frightening at the time

Wobbs...
No, I've never seen any concentration of dogs like that in SoC, especially not in the Cordon. Most of the strangeness I've witnessed there involves other Stalkers, things like spawning Guide without ever spawning Fox (a Wolf-skipping trick) or NPCs traveling to places where they usually aren't found, such as:

No problem man, glad you found it of interest. There are so many cool and unique ways to break SoC that I'm always discovering new ones with each playthrough. Skipping through sections of the story like that can produce some very strange results.

The best part about skipping Wolf is that the Nimble rescue mission won't initiate unless you complete it by killing all of the bandits who guard him. Fox doesn't spawn after you cross the tracks, and the Cordon goes into a sort of stasis until Nimble is saved or other story missions are completed that add new spawns to the area. From there you can skip past Yurik, Bes, and Seriy and go nearly anywhere, even enter into Rostok by merely pushing against the gate (which usually pisses off a few of the guards). Much can be done before starting that first mission. http://i.imgur.com/ngECFxr.jpg

There's actually a way you can get two knives apparently, and a bunch of other fun stuff by doing things out of order. One day I'll attempt a speedrun of SoC and see some of it for myself
