Ah, interesting. I didn't know that going into online mode could cause the spawn-in-the-campfire glitch, nor did I know that Loners could try to spawn in the same physical space.

The Bandits seemed to show up at the Car Park so fast, and always in the same room on the west side with the campfire, that I just assumed they were spawning there.

You must have left the Cordon directly after taking Sid's mission, because Fox and the 3 Pig Farm Loners are the only major change I've seen from taking Sid's mission without leaving the Cordon. There are still no Psuedodogs in the area, and still no Military.

My goal is to hit Rank 1 before leaving the Cordon. I'm just hoping that the shear volume of resulting corpses doesn't crash the game or something.

Shadow of Chernobyl - Patch 1.0005

Just over 6 weeks now in the Zone. 1 full month in the Cordon with my
moving on to Garbage, Agroprom and Rostok but no further. I'm going
back and forth between the four levels moving my armor and artifacts
up to Rostok, running used weapons to Barkeep and Sidorovich each
time I go that way and generally keeping my Bandit populations at
manageable levels. I'm taking various jobs like Camp Defense &
Camp Elimination as they occur or if I'm going into the area.
I'm now on my 4th trip to the Agroprom and just entered
the Agroprom Underground for the 2nd time ( getting
leftover loot ) which most Players don't do until
after Yantar meeting Doc. Going back like
this gave me Trenchcoat Bandits that
were better equipped than what
most people see until much
later in their Game Play:

Shadow of Chernobyl - Patch 1.0005

Shortly after this post I continued my activity in the Agroprom Underground
and experienced one of the biggest shocks ever in all my SoC Game Play.
Something happened to me that has never ever happened before.

I assume you are holding off on telling us so you can get some pictures posted?

Well, in the meantime I have a question about how you are managing your stashes. Are you using permacorpses at all, or are you only using camp chests and activated stashes?

If it's the latter, aren't you running into the old game-freezes-as-the-stash-loads issue? I've never liked using the permacorpses, as it is a bit immersion-breaking, but I still find it preferable to a several second pause every time I get near one of my stashes.

Also, if you use chests that get periodically refilled, like the one next to the campfire in the Rookie Village, is there a risk that your contents will get overwritten when it gets refilled?

TS's post is like the main body of a carnival side-show - to get the maximum crowd interest before the big 'blow-off' revelation.

Have you ever read here some people claiming something happened to
them in a Game however despite yourself having played the Game so
many countless number of times, it has never happened to you so you
didn't believe them or you thought they were using some Mod instead?

And then it happens to you & not only that you figured out how to repeat it?

Ooh! I think I know what your talking about! I seem to recall someone on this forum posting about an usual....event, in the Agroprom Underground a while back. If I remember correctly, at least a couple people suggested that it was probably the result of an incomplete mod removal.

I don't want to ruin the suprise for when you get the pictures up, though.

I'm going to warm up some popcorn. Plainly, the punch line here is going to be a while in coming.

Personally, I'm hoping for something about never ending artifact spawns hidden somewhere......
