Reality exists in the game to a point. Artifacts enhance your ability in the game world.

However, magically getting powers from being a member of a group would be totally out of place no matter how much you use the "lol, anomalies, snorks, mutants anomalies and u want reality???????rofl" argument.
---END QUOTATION---

You say: "magically getting powers from being a member of a group would be totally out of place"...

Well... if having a 5% additional resistance to radiation is a POWER then I guess that all those real guys who gain poison resistance from being bitten by snakes many times also get the "POWER"... and again, the skill is out of place, we don't want stalkers with that kind of "SUPER POWERS" now do we?

Hahahahaha... so funny... keep it coming Siro

PS: it is not a bird, it is not a plane, it is the Super Stalker with 5% radiation resistance!!! Watch out snorks! So I got this artifact that gave me 130 resistance, I guess I am a super hero now!! wooooohooo!!

Now seriously... having the ability to steal, to carry one more weapon, to find items or to resist something by your natural endurance ARE REAL LIFE abilities, THAT REAL PEOPLE HAVE!!!!! I mean, just an example, who can carry more... a big, strong mercenary, or a small scientists? IT TOTALLY MAKES SENSE OK!?

Why don't you ask the monolith to give you another mission rather than "kill pureevil" please, hahahahahhaha.... I won't die from big laughs you know?

Haha, why get so defensive all of a sudden? You're making yourself look stupid. I was simply stating my opinion, which I have the right to have, as well as you.

And I do respect your stance on this even if I do not agree with it, you on the other hand do not.

It is so funny when you say: "but in real life, would you magically gain a "Radiation Resistance" skill" like anomalies and artifacts or many other things from Stalker exist in real life.... come on, it is a fictional game, not a "real life simulator!".

Forgive me... I forgot that snorks, teleporters and genies for that matter exist in real life... so my suggestion is totally off... I am really sorry!

I guess that the "in game" radiation can affect real people as well.... hahahaha
---END QUOTATION---

Verisimilitude, ever heard of it? It is the sense of reality in a story, within that story's world. Stalker's world operates mostly on real-world principles with Science Fiction thrown in. Snorks, Teleporters, Anomlaies, etc. are the result of the *spoiler* and not radiation, which in Stalker's world - acts like real radiation and kills you instead of turniong you into a giant, or giving you an extra limb or toe or something.

Gaining SKILLS for a faction makes sense, suddenly developing immunities or bodily traits doesn't. Things like weight carrying and rad resistance can be reserved for suits - a merc's suit might better carry things due to it's pockets, belts, etc. while a bandit's leather jacket and backpack might not carry so much, etc.

I guess that a lot of people look kinda stupid when they are laughing out loud... Just kidding...

I respect your opinion too, I just hope that the devs (if they think like you) find some other ways to make the game deeper and more interesting, other than npcs trowing grenades that is...

We both want the same thing, a better, greater and improved game that is everything it was meant to be! You too see its potential... I just happen to have different ideas on how to make that happen...

I still want to hear how would you like the prequel to be... or what features would you like it to have... I am looking forward to that!

Nobody said anything about immunities.... but I agree with you, Skills have be very well balanced and tweaked in order to be applicable into the game...

Yeah, immunities was the wrong word, resistances would've been more accurate. But, yeah, joining different factions should decide a bit more than who likes you and who would like nothing more than see you take a short walk into a Vortex.

Even though being able to fight for eight factions DOES already increase replay ability significantly.

No so much if all the factions feel the same... of course I hope each faction has different quests and missions related to their interests... But the more things that set them apart... the more replay ability the game will have!

I agree with Siro...I rather think it would be sweet if you could train in different skills to get better and better.

I want to Join Mutants! Guys, it will possible in the Clear Sky game?
I really like to be a Controller and make crazy the stalkers to attack each other. Or a bloodsucker to hunt the Duty Leader invisible.

Anyone think it's possible, or only join mutants and trade with them?

May there are factions between mutants, like animals, controllers, dwarves, and human-like creatures.

Like I said before, at this point anything is possible, but I see that coming more from a mod rather than the vanilla clear sky...
