Well, since I can't seem to edit my previous post, I'll just state this here:

I forgot to mention that 1.2 is STANDALONE, so you DO NOT need to have the previous version installed. Actually, older version of S.O should be un-installed first. Not necessary, but a clean install of 1.2 would ensure that it works properly.

Stalker CoP Sound overhaul 1.3!!!

Well, took me a while to get to this point, but I'm glad to say that it's finally done!

Features (Straight out of the readme of 1.3) :

Whats new:

-New, improved draw/holster sounds.

-New firing sound for ALL guns (now rapid fire weapons have three different sounds, so that the automatic
fire would sound more "alive", not just repetative with the same sound all the time.)

-New silenced sounds (each caliber have their own, 9mm, 45, etc.)

-Completely reworked reload sounds. (nearly all pistols use the same sound, except the Desert Eagle.)

-Completely new "bore" sounds for all rifles.

-New sounds for the fireball anomalies and Electrical anomalies (other anomaly sounds might be replaced in future versions.)

-Also, new throw alignment for the grenades (thanks to Ceano for the new values!)

-Incorporated the SRP (Sky Reclamation Project for CS) weapon ironsight fixes. Also the PKM now has ironsights.

-Weapon animations by Gosuke (proper lr300 reload anim, pistols only have one type of draw anim, pump action with shotguns, etc.)

-Few new ambient sounds (Replaced the Scientist bunker airlock sound, new rain sound, new thunder sounds.)

-New detector sounds (geiger, anomaly, artifact detection sounds.)

-New player footsteps.

-New bullet sounds (flyby, metal impact, breaking wooden box sounds.)

-New explosion sounds (grenades, rpg, barrels, fuel canisters, etc.)

-New sounds for using energydrinks and vodka.

INSTALLATION:

Tested with both, CoP 1.6.00 and 1.6.02, should work without problems with 1.6.01 too.
Just unpack the gamedata folder to the main game folder.

USING WITH OTHER MODS:

CoP sound overhaul 1.3 is built on vanilla weapon files, so if you want to use the sounds with another mod that alters the weapons,
you'll need to merge the sound parts from the weapon ltx's.
I've added an Sound overhaul header around the parts in the files that I've edited to make the merging process a bit easier.

Contains otherwise vanilla system.ltx, only the [hud_sound] section has new values. (These bring up the 1st person sound levels, which in vanilla were noticeably lower compared to the npc/3rd person firing- etc sounds.)

Also, most weapon files have the silencer shot section now moved inside those headers, so when merging, make sure
you don't have duplicate sections.

Also, now in 1.3, the Vintorez and Val have changed silencer status in the ltx's. This was an essential change so I could get the weapons to
use the proper multisound setup while firing them in full auto. The firing sounds for them are properly commented as silenced shots in the sdk, so I
don't believe this change in the silencer status will affect how the rounds fired with these silenced guns are detected by the ai.

SOUND OVERHAUL 2.0 Bullet sound fix

This small patch contains re-commented bullet sounds (flyby & impact)
Turns out, the sounds included in 2.0 had totally wrong ogg-comment values, resulting in odd npc detection behavior.
This patch should fix it.

Install:

Overwrite the previous 2.0 sounds with the files included in this patch.
