Misery - Editing Starting Inventory

I downloaded Misery 2.2 for the first time a couple weeks ago.
Interesting but difficult.
I want to change the gear I'm assigned on mission start, specifically the suit and money and after spending several hours searching I came up with the file...

But after altering the suit and rubles values no change takes place in any class even after rebooting the entire game.

What am I doing wrong?
What did I miss?

It's .script, not .script.ltx. Also, those "roubles" are the 100ru item, not actual money, so I don't think you want 70,000 of them (or maybe you do).

ADVICE... Don't pursue editing the starting inventory.

My issue was impatience.
I couldn't buy gear due to the outrageous pricing and I couldn't get anywhere near the items I needed or wanted due to toxic environments.
That led to major frustration and disappointment in the game...

Until I decided to fall back to the basics.

I actually abandoned editing the starting inventory in my favor, and opted instead for killing and looting with what I had available.

I discovered that if I stayed away from the missions for awhile, avoided the radiated areas and focused exclusively on improving my gear I could play the game with more enjoyment.

To that end, I found a secure location that was regularly trafficked by NPC's that I could ambush, kill and loot multiple times.
Duty and Merc returned the best loot.
Bandits were almost useless.
Stalkers led to many refusals for trade from Owl and Beard till I figured that one out.

Stashing my looted inventory in packs kept me nimble and at the end of the day a two or three time trip back to the Skavosk and Owl or Beard (each pays better for some items than the other) raised the amounts of ru's I needed to first repair and then upgrade my gear.

It was some time before I even ventured out to look for tools for Cardan and after that, repairs were much less costly.

BTW
Using only a sunrise suit and sphere 08 helmet upgraded to 50% psy I found it relatively simple to overcome the "Dangerous Cave" Controler.

I also found a controler sweetspot using the same gear and taking advantage of weather conditions, for the Zaton, advanced tools procurement. It was a bit tricky but again, relatively easy to overcome the multiple "C's" roaming around the area.

Misery - Editing The Starting Inventory

Actually some of the best times in any Stalker Game are when you start
out and have crappy armor and weapons. The struggle to improve your
gear and the effort you have to put in to get there, are the reward you
get for your accomplishment. Simply modding to get whatever you want
without earning it doesn't equate more fun or a better experience as you
have just realized. Having the best of everything makes things too easy
if you get it too soon without actually putting in the time to deserve it.
