Hi, Can anyone explain this fatal error for me please

It's a bit of an odd one as no-ones ever mentioned an issue with the all-in-one and it doesn't seem like something me adding AN4 on top would cause.
I'll figure it out, Thanks a lot.

I'm currently putting a COP build together and have just got this error when given some new grenades I f anyone recognises the error it would be helpful if I can get a bit of info on it.

That makes sense as I'm adding grenades with there own meshes which are vanilla based meshes to OWR3, It works with OWR2/2.1 but it seems not with OWR3, that's a shame, I don't know whether to include them now as I'd have to do it with them using the rgd5 or F1 visuals. I'll have a play around with it. Cheers

@ Vodka Spawn I cloned the RGD5 files which have been renamed and tweaked to make rgd6, 7, 8 & 9 files, Cheers.


The new grenades work and even have the relevant visual if the grenades are dropped on the floor and looked at but the hud visual when you have them in your hand is the basic rgd5 grenade.

To fix that I can make copies of rgd5 files and rename them but they'll still use the same texture.

How do I go about tweaking the mesh file to change the texture file it uses and what program will I need to use to tweak the mesh file?

I haven't touched this stuff in years, but I'm pretty sure you can change a mesh's internally specified texture using a hex editor. The replacement texture's file name needs to be the same length as the original.

@ nashathedog I use notepad++ right click on your mesh,in editor use find button (binoc icon) type in models then click on Find all in current document button.At bottom of window it will show the line or lines with the texture/s used.

I use Hex Editor Neo for mesh editing.In Neo use find function for the texture you want .EG grenadier\fake_ rename grenadier\fak1_ then save it.

I use Gimp2.8 for retexturing and renaming dds files. Open texture in Gimp
and then click file>export as fak1_.dds click on Export button.New windows up
Compression-BC3/DXT5
Format-Default
Mipmaps-Generate mipmaps
Then click OK button.

You could also upload mesh and texture and i will do it.
 
Each word should be at least 3 characters long.
Search:    
Search conditions:    - spaces as AND    - spaces as OR
