Call of Chernobyl mod (Official Thread)

Just realized it's coming up on 2 years since I first started playing
Call of Chernobyl. First the 1.2 version, then the 1.3 version and
currently on the 1.4 version. Eventually I'll get around to the 1.5
It's been an absolutely fantastic Mod that I have thoroughly had
an incredibly good time with and I once again want to thank the
best Modding team ever: TEAM EPIC for all of the never ending
hard work, extreme dedication & effort they have put in to this.

They've made some big changes with 1.5 which I really like, however I'm unsure of the cause but twice soon after completing the brain lab in story mode the saves became corrupted once I entered the Warehouses map, That happened on two completely separate play-through's as a Clear Sky member, I had added a host of tweaks but nothing that should of caused save corruptions that said I had tweaked it a lot making it so I couldn't safely report it.
I'm looking forward to the finished version of 1.5.

Two of the changes made to version 1.5 that I liked were the backpack mechanics where you start without one and there's 3 or 4 backpack types that give you different carry weight abilities & the best change for me is with the traders, I have a bad habit of cheating by using saves to resupply the trader, That no longer works in Call of Chernobyl, I think they've added a distance condition so you have to leave that area of a map for the traders stock to change.

I downloaded 1.5 beta recently and first thing I noticed was the damage statistic rebalances. Why does it take 15 buckshot rounds to down a boar. While I like human vs human damage( still needs tweaks) mutants seem too resistant to weapons.

Anyone have info on the real thing and what are the biggest changes?

I like the changes to the AI, better gun fights now. Before you could simply run circles around NPCs without hardly getting hit. Now it's more realistic.

However I wish the mod makes could hurry up and finish this thing, considering others start developing mods for the 1.5 base. They've also been talking about the expanded Marshes and Dark Valley levels for a long time now, which would have been really nice (since Team Epic won't use Lost Alpha levels). When we'll finally see these things, who knows...

The beta 1.5r6 available at ModDB is totally outdated.
Currently taking a break from modding (and so, from news from the Team), all I can say is that weapons damages have been greatly updated since then and are now very pleasant.

Even cats dies from a single shotgun head-shot as they should ! ^_^

Do you plan to release another up to date beta before full official release?
And do you think it will be done by holidays?

As I'm totally off from it currently, I can't say anything about that. Sorry.
I play our latest beta from time to time, just for the pleasure of playing it. But I still keeping me away from development and so, from recent news.
