Wow, quite a few hate comments popped up.

One of the purposes of my mods is to discover the best of community work and bring to the mainstream level, giving it more exposure, which in my opinion is a win/win situation for both users and modders. Maybe you don't realize but the majority of gamers have never seen these forums in their life and probably miss out on a lot of fine work being done here which I try to introduce to them through my mods. I've seen the evidence of my series causing the increase in sales for Stalker games, which is again beneficial for all users, more sales = new better games from GSC for you to mod. I have this power and I'm using it responsibly to make things better.

Also bear in mind that I'm one of the few modders who produces brand new original graphical content for my mods, instead of 100% relying on someone else's assets. People who always get my respect for doing their own graphical stuff: Cromm Cruac, Argus, Combragol.

Yes, I use an Atmosfear Blowout, which is a stunning work of art by itself, to which I added my skyboxes and color settings, because this is how I wanted it to look. This is a transparent, and well documented fact. Users are still free to use the original Atmosfear Blowout to which I provided multiple links (how many of you do that?), but if they are willing to wait for a year for my custom version, then this is not my problem and definitely shouldn't be yours. In fact I never specifically hyped my mods, during the whole development I only released a few one sentenced informative messages to keep fans updated (but I've seen some of you going out of your way in the most ridiculously cheesy fashion trying to generate interest for you mods).

Some my background. It's not like I came out of nowhere, I do a lot of things in gaming and entertainment industries, the stuff that I do for Xbox 360 community is actually more popular than Stalker modding, to the point where I was invited to a meeting with Microsoft after which they started promoting and supporting my work, and a lot of other stuff. Just getting the point across, I'm not looking for fame here, actually I have better things to do than dealing with over sensitive, egocentric people who are unable to deal with watching someone else succeed. I'm doing this because I saw something that can be improved in a way that could make a lot of people happy.

and remember, gaming is a very small industry, the stuff you do to people here will get back to you even after 10 years, so don't hate.

You probably took my comment as one of these 'hate comments' but it wasn't - I was merely saying how the thing that annoys me about Complete (and I'm not knocking your work) is that people tend to see it as a replacement for the Vanilla game - I'm a firm believer that to appreciate a mod you have to play the vanilla game first, or else how can you tell what's been changed?

Apologies if it came across as insulting

Well, I'm loving the overall ambiance and atmosphere of this mod so far, but I'm curious about the artistic intent of the foliage choices. Most of the plant life is brown and dead, giving the Zone the appearance of late November.

It looks great, but the PDA calendar and ambient background noises (cicadas, frogs, crickets, etc) suggest that it is the dead of summer, which feels a little strange.

Is there an intended season for this mod?

Hate? Nooo, i think nobody really hate you here.

Now, if people are waiting for your mod and then decide to buy this game, that's not a good thing for GSC. Why? Because price of this game will be much lower after one year period, when your mode is out. Pure logic. But, this is not your fault.

This is the reason why i said that sometimes hype is not a good thing.

Btw, words like XBOX and Microsoft are making me shudder, especially when i see these words on this forum. Mainly because of this:

But that's me

The foliage is sorta dead from the radiation, which is not how it looks in real Chernobyl, but I think it's ok for the game, gives it some mood.

Any chance that parts of the Complete Mod could be optional?

To be fair, there are numerous emissions which I assume give off lots of heat, providing a reason for the dried foliage.

I'm loving it at the moment, definitely one of the most engrossing and absorbing atmospheric gaming experiences I've had. My respect to the ambient sound editors - most game designers assume that ambient sound means it's far away, but in Complete there's a huge range - from distant howls to noises right behind you. When you, as a gamer, are incapable of telling the difference between the noises of an npc and ambient sounds, you've done it right.

I think the weather varieties are fantastic. The fog in particular was a trick that GSC missed completely in the vanilla. I can't tell you how on edge I was when severely injured in the marsh in the fog when I could hear bloodsucker noises coming from all around.

Good job!

EDIT: Forgot a criticism. I too, have had savegame issues. There's been one notable occurance where I was unable to load a game and had to go back to a previous one much further back. Personally I doubt it was a performance issue, but more that I triggered something. I've got the patch, so perhaps that will help in future savegames, but I still wasn't able to retrieve the lost savegame.

Hi
I would be glad if I could get some help/tips as I have problems with my game/the game engine crashing during the loading-sequence for when I'm going into the Jupiter underground with Zulu and the others.
Here's my Error from the log:
