Correct Ironsights' Alignment MOD

Discription
This mod corrects alignment of ironsight of all guns in 4:3 and 16:10 (not tested in 16:9).
I merged similar mods which was made by Control Volume and Anonymous(in 2ch BBS), but almost reworked.

Now you can aim exactly what you want to shoot, not below.

I think im missing something here. Because when you fire a shot with ANY rifle using an iron sight in real life the actual point of impact moves vertical dependng on distance... IE: a military issued M4 will have to be aimed lower at closer targets and higher at longer ranged targets. Reason being is the barrel and the sight are not parallel to each other in real life.

So closer target = higher impact point
further target = lower impact point

Is this what your mod does?

elevation hasnt been considered coz that is not important in the ZONE. expect 9x39

.... what i said has nothing to do with elevation. I was talking from actual military exp with rifles. Zeroing and firing them on the range. Also to do a mod that is close to real life you need to know the trajectory.

Personally I'd like to see both since both are actually relivent in the game. Maybe even add in wind and redo the sniper scope to actually use the mill markings of the scope to adjust for wind would be sweet.

If I understand it correctly this mod simply fixes some poorly aligned ironsights, it doesn't implement a new adjustable ironsight system to account for different ranges (pretty much impossible in this game AFAIK).

Btw, the ranges at which you actually engage enemies in this game are always less than 150m, which would make adjustable sights pretty redundant.

Yep. Not counting handgun calibers and rimfires, you're unlikely to find a range in-game that would see you need to take bullet drop into account, and very few handguns have adjustable sights anyways.

Have noticed that a lot of weapons have what would, IRL, be the logical impact point somewhere a few millimeters above the tip of the front sight, more noticeable if you change some of the weapons to show crosshairs when being sighted. Was hoping somebody'd fix 'em before I got off my fat arse and tried it myself.

I haven't checked this mod out yet - if it makes the front posts sit properly in relation to the rear sights then it'll be a good thing (ie. most of the ironsights in CoP seem to have the front post sitting high - ie. view is too much down on the top of the weapon, not along it). I had already fixed the Spas 12 so the front post is properly aligned to the rear sight (pinched settings from I think SoC) as I just couldn't stomach the way it was by default.

This mod fixes so that the iron sight is aligned in the right way, in vanilla if you point your cross hair on a spot and then aim your weapon you will see that it is below the actually point that you are aiming.

I think the difference between this mod and mine is that his puts the ironsights directly on the center, whereas mine places the ironsights a little bit below the center (most noticeable with handguns) to try accounting for some of the bullet drop.

It's personal preference, really.
