Below is a list of modifcations I would like to see compiled into one large mod (sort of what OL was). I'll keep this thread up-to-date with YOUR suggestions and with links to mods available that answer some of my requests. Please feel free to critique my list. Thanks!
Changes with Mods released already:
1. More Aggressive and Random AI (Some areas don't feel like they're under any opposition at all, Cordon and the Swamps for example. mod found here:

2. Reduce NPC Bounding box (found here:

9. Better Scopes (found here:

Changes without Mods yet:
1. Being able to customize your wep cosmetically (have a mechanic apply different skins to either equipped weapons for a fee via dialogue box. thanks OddLawnGnome)
2. More Variety of creatures in beginning areas (Such as the OL mod added)
3. More side-missions from traders and factions (I don't care if I can keep doing the "Take the Depot from the Bandits" mission all day)
4. Add hunger effect (food should not raise health)
5. ALL first aid kits should stop bleeding
6. More variety of weapons in the starting area (I don't want uber weapons, just at least 3 different types of each class of weapon)
7. Random Blowouts (More random than just entering an area)
8. Vehicles (maybe a dirt bike? )
9. A Safehouse in each part of the zone (even if it's just a camp, but a place to store weapons and such, sleep and eat, and maybe even repair your own weapons from picking up "spare parts" from dead npcs and looted weapons)
10. No English voices (honestly, the voiceovers in english are god-awful)
11. Faction mechanics do all weapon upgrades at the cost of having more expensive upgrades at different places
12. Be able to ask friendly stalkers to accompany you for a small periodic charge
13. Able to call for back up for a fee (Call in friendly faction NPC's to your location temporarily)
14. More realistic Day/Night Cycles with Random Nights (sun rises and sets in correct positions and some nights the moon is out and others it's too cloudy) Thanks to nalex66 and Lorentz.
15. Guides of your faction transport you to other controlled territories for free or at least with a discount. (thanks protyx)
16. Better stealth mechanics (easier to sneak up on stalkers at night, and better use of the knife) (thanks protyx)
17. Weather remains the same on saves. (I loaded a game I'd saved in the rain but it was sunny as day)
18. A mod that cylces autosaves to three different saves. (Thanks mohr.)
19. Mechanics take time to repair weapons and armor, depending on the damage done. (thanks Isilidur)

Hopefully this mod will continue to be updated and could be the next OL. /crosses_fingers
Just a note, this mod makes this game EXTREMELY hard, and the AI has extremely high accuracy.

Thought I saw a mod that autosaved the game for you every 15 mins; under three different name it cycled through. This is a function I really want; just found my self in a situation where my autosave and quicksave are corrupted.
Also I believe there is at least two stashes that needs fixing; the fridge in Cordon that holdes the legendary AK is on its side and will not open and the safe in the Yantar factory has its door facing the floor and cannot be opened. If you don't know what stash I speak of just tell me.
Any help to fix this or any downloadable fixes are welcome. |

just a couple of suggestions:
Remove stupid reggae music from freedom base
Remove stupid 'comedy' loudspeaker announcements from freedom base
Remove annoying music from bandit base (you can hear it for MILES away!!)
Weapons are held sideways while running as it was in SOC
