often when doing a mission (I have only found this to be with the Clear Sky faction so far) for a faction where part of the objective is to secure a point and hold it until help arrives the NPC's never advance to your position.

i found this also with the freedom faction

** the further you get into the game, the CTD's get ridiculous and eventually get to the point that the game is not playable.

That's where I'm at sadly

I've told my friends who are thinking of buying to wait until January before purchasing, and my friends who are near the beginning to just stop playing until January. Hopefully by then it will be a lot more stable.

Hmmmm.. where to begin. Well, here are things I noticed...

** runs fine until you visit maps you've already been to once, then the CTD's start, especially when trying to re-visit "The Garbage" map.

** does'nt always show the current mission or objective on your PDA

** bloodsuckers running in place, almost looks like they are trying to moon walk!

** the AI getting stuck in the walls and floors, when dead or alive

** the AI walking into you and moving you from your spot, even pushing you into the wall or a box you getting you stuck! (you need to work on the AI in this game so that can't happen)

** not all upgrades can be purchased, even when you have the money. It will stated "other upgrades need to perform this upgrade" and light up the ones you need, but they've already been performed and it still won't allow you to get them. That's with weapons and suits.

** enemy AI walking past you and never seeing you.. I've even shot them and they still keep walking normally.

** collecting the flashdrives with upgrade information, but the mechanics that asked for them don't acknowledge you having them when you do.

** When "Forester" tells you to go to the Army Warehouses and use the 'transmitor', the mission does not show up on your PDA.

** the further you get into the game, the CTD's get ridiculous and eventually get to the point that the game is not playable.

** the Xray engine crash report is for what? Cause it's not working.. I mean it does what it's supposed to, but the emails just get returned.. so what's the point of it? I've got 37 crash reports I could not send in.. makes me wonder how GSC is making a patch if they are'nt getting everyone's crash information..???

I hate to flame.. but this game was developed so poorly.. it's worse than games I've beta tested in their Alpha stages.. how GSC could think this game was ready for release is beyond me.. apparently you don't have very many internal testers.. cause if you had tested this game properly, you would have seen the majority of these problems.

I truely believe that GSC needs more intensive testing, maybe you should consider "external beta testing" in the future.. you get alot more feedback that way. Your tech support also NEEDS ALOT OF WORK. I don't see GSC responding in anyway to all these problems.. you should atleast post progress of your fixes in the forums, try and keep us informed on what's going on.. GSC is giving out the impression that all you care about is getting our money.. and in the long run it's going to hurt you more than us.. with all the people that have experienced problems with the first STALKER and now STALKER:CS, how many do you think will be back for the 3rd?

More issues

Finished the game now.

Actual Bugs:
* The sniper in the tower just before the deserted hospital refuses to die.

* When talking to a duty member - in the dialogue he mentions wanting to join Duty (as if he is just a regular stalker)

Gameplay related issues:-

* Where are the exoskeletons for sale? I can't find one at all. I am lead to believe that they become available when your faction has maximum resources - but due to some of the faction war missions getting stuck (no backup coming to retake an area) - I simply couldn't get one for the entire game (unless I changed factions supposedly). If indeed resources are required to get better suits - having this dynamic explained in-game would have been useful.

* Would be nice if the game actually let you know when you had reached a "point of no return" in the game. It happens when you enter Limansk (can't go back). Personally I hate having points of no return in the game. It ruins the sandbox dynamic. Anyway, I finished the game on Master difficulty with an unmodified SEVA suit (I had to overuse quicksave to make it through). I couldn't go back to get a better suit!

* I had 4 flash drives after searching through HUNDREDS of stashes. NONE of them were the correct ones that the technicians around the zone actually wanted. It seems strange that I had 4 upgrades to deliver, and none of the 4 upgrades I had were the ones they wanted.

* The big sniper rifles? Possible to buy one? I couldn't get my hands on one for the entire game.

I'm in Yantar And Have killed the zombies (YEt the bloody bunker is still locked ) Using the latest patch as well..

It's one of the story based missions too..

Shoot one of the stalkers near the lab (just once)

He'll get angry, but if you're in the Stalker faction he won't shoot back. this triggers the alarm around the lab. Wait for it to go off - and try the door again.

Yes, it's a stupid bug.
