So don't be shy - if you feel you have what it takes go for it! Thanks for reading - I'll count you as another fan whose support was monumental in my ongoing writing.

Wow...

I've spent the last two days doing nothing but reading this thing from top to bottom, from Day 1 to 14. It's breath-taking, and I feel touched by the tale that seems all to real; except for the onslaught of spelling errors and typos, the tale shed light on the touchy parts of the Zone, which is far more interesting and heart breaking than the original game. In edition, you made the STALKERs seem like real people, not just these one-mind-set people who barely have a thing to say, it adds to the desperation to the Zone and its inhabitants, making it seem like STALKERs are fighting for more than to put bread on the table. I even seem to be coming on to the bandits; When I first killed a Bandit, I just thought of it as a shell, but now it makes Bandits, even though assholes, seem somewhat Human and capable. All around, you've made The Zone and the STALKERs in it seem like they're real, fighting for their lives as we speak, you're story is a... Oh, what's the word for it? Well, I can say one thing, from Day 1 to the Climatic Day 14, I was quite Speechless.

Please, do continue, my thirst has not been quenched, your leaving a cliffhanger that frustrates me so. (Oh, and I want more of Zombie, I feel some compassion for the guy.)

Thanks man, I always appreciate hearing about how much the story was enjoyed by the readers. Honestly, I had the same sense of companionship and concern for the characters as I decided their fates in my head as well - I feel very attached to them and genuinely concerned for the events they go through and how they emerge (or don't) out the other side. It's doubly so with the way I write as well; I make it all up as I go. 90% of the story was made up on the spot - the other 10% was just an overall plot and a general direction that the story was going in.

As for making the characters seem like real people - that was something I struggled with at times, but as my writing improved, I was able to convey it better and even had myself convinced at times. (Oo) I had this constant fear that I would over-do it and make the characters to Hollywood to the point where I spend too much time on their image while they become soulless voids on the inside. Thankfully, the fear of that was enough to (hopefully) never make it a reality and I feel like I could write another story the same size and keep the focus true to the characters and not play off of the reviews of the first story to create empty shells where characters once stood. In short; if I had to write another story right now, there's a good chance I could write it better than the first one (except for maybe Day 14... that was fucking epic! )

So yeah... if anyone one in Hollywood is reading this, take note! Anyway, enough self-absorption, but that's where I'm coming from. I do hope to write some more Stalker fanfic at some point - right now I'm actually the lead writer on a module for Neverwinter Nights that I came up with the idea for - but afterwards I'll see where I'm at and I might start writing a sequel. (w00t!) Once again, thanks for reading and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Maybe you'll get another chance to see Virtue & co. in action soon.

Site is expired

I find this story really great but your site is down, it says the domein has expired and Is pending removal, so do you have a back-up site or somewhere where I can read the whole story. I am talking about the randombs.net site.

New Links:

Yeah, apparently my web provider didn't take out another payment I don't much feel like putting another one down right now until I start my new job. But until then, I copied and pasted all the content into some temporary documents that I'll probably use as backups from now on.

(You'll have to excuse the lack of full formatting, the copy and paste doesn't usually get some of the hard spaces. Also, the forum doesn't seem to like the https links and won't auto link them, so you'll have to copy and paste the link into your browser)
