Reading some of the walkthrough I realized I forget to get the stash in the tunnels? Can I go back in and grab the stash before I grab the docs from the building? I killed all the soldiers. Will no more come until I grab the docs?

After turning off the brain scorcher, barkeeper says Guide is looking for me. Should I go back to bar, re-supply, meet guide, and come back? Or just go to Pripyat and hope for the best?

Head back to bar, there's hella fighting in between Prypiat and the final ending. Hope you have plenty of artifacts, a few decent guns and some good armour.

Plus unless you see Guide then you can't get the proper ending. You can finish the ending but only with the wishgranter ending. Plus guide gives you a key to a room full of kewl junk

well you can go to barkeep cause its on the way to guide in cordon. But you wont need to restock, its not like Theres much threat between rostok and cordon.

Walkthrough for S.T.A.L.K.E.R

Mr. Hooglepuffs~

Drop off all your extra Supplies at the Red Forest Bunker down the dead end road
and return to Rostok and head south to meet Guide in the Cordon and Doc in the
Agroprom Underground who will give you the key to get the Decoder in Pripyat.

I'm not sure that I'm entitled to post my personal issue in reply to a stickied thread. If not, my apologies.

I'm re-playing through SoC with Stalker Complete 2009.
The first time I reached the duty outpost in Garbage, even before heading to the Agroprom Institute, I turned right and headed to the Dark Valley.
I emptied Borov's base on that run too.
The Duty member prisoner wouldn't come out of his cell, which I had to shoot open because the controls on the wall were not working.
However, Borov did spawn and I killed him. As expected though, no key to the X18 lab because I hadn't heard about it from Barkeep yet.

I'm back to Dark Valley after having taken the docs from Agroprom to Barkeep, but after emptying Borov's inventory, the door to X18 still doesn't give me the ability to move past it. Nothing.

What can I do at this point?
(besides considering re-awakening my interest in finishing CoP)

Yeah, romulous is right, rasblak. The doors on the Dark Valley level are broken from your description, which means you have encountered a bug. That's also a vanilla problem, so this could also be posted in the Single-Player Bugs section, but the usual route is to post in the mod's thread, get told it's not a mod problem, then post in an SP-Bugs thread and wait a week because folks are mainly playing this three-year-old game with mods.

While I'm here: There's a workaround in the ZRP, but you have to set the debug mode on. Open up gamedata\scripts\_z.script and change zrp_debug_enabled = false so that it reads zrp_debug_enabled = true and save.

Then load up a save in Dark Valley. Go to the broken doors (Shaggy's cell door and the door to X18 that is inert). Get within 2 meters of each door and press Esc (to return to the main menu) followed by D F to fix the problems. (Think "debug fix" if it helps.)

The door to X18 will disappear and you'll see the tasks change. With Shaggy's cell, you'll still need to use a knife on the cell door lock. Once Shaggy gets beyond the opened door, the task will complete.
