Open note to everyone:

This forum section was intended, I think, to contain only threads announcing mods, with posts in that thread by the author of the mod to announce version updates and where to get them.

There was supposed to be a separate discussion thread in the Mod Discussion section for the same mod as listed here.

When I see that there are new posts in the "Mod downloads" section, I think, "Wow, a new mod!" But there are no new mods or mod updates, just chatter that's supposed to be in the Mod Discussion section.

Am I the only one frustrated by this? Maybe we just need to change the rules, and get rid of the Mod Discussions section. Heck, even the moderators are in on the act (I'm lookin at you, Siro!)

OK, I gotta be honest I didn't read all the rules, and I have broken at least two!!

If someone would be willing to delete both my particle mod threads in the Mod download section, and remove the version number from the discussion thread title, I will create just the one download thread. I have saved the links and readme notes, so I will just create one combined thread.

I think there will be a version 3...

Sorry guys

Done. The threads can still be resurrected, if needed.

I have a suggestion or perhaps rather a request :

When posting about a released mod (and the (mandatory?!) read me-file), wouldn´t it be obvious to state what patch the mod is build on/for?

Sometimes you´d have to read a virtual ton of posts to find that info and sometimes a lot of reading later, one has found diddley-squat.

A wee bit similar "what engine is this made for" -entry in the read me file is mandatory at Doomworld, making everything real easy as PAE

Or maybe i´m the only one not indifferent to DL´ing +200MB of worthlessness based on patch 1.0003 and nothing else...

Well, that´s my 2 cents worth anyways.
