Stalker Multiplayer Suggestions

These are the three things that I believe will make Stalker an overall better multiplayer experience.

1) Of course, fix the lag problems - There is no way im going to play in a game with the amount of lag everyone of these servers get.

2) One-Death Mode with Rounds - Like Search and Destroy in CoD, or the Rainbow Six games. This mode is always more competitive, skill based, team oriented, and attracts more clans.

3) Slow down sprint a little in multiplayer - In my opinion, the sprint is just a little too crazy.

To the people who complain about leaning and iron sights :
For the love of god, please stop trying to convince them to take these things out. The LAST thing we need is another Half Life game (CS,DoD) where you have to show your whole entire body around corners to fire. People say that leaning promotes camping, well no leaning means the person on the other side of the wall can sit there with his sights STRAIGHT on the edge of the corner until their whole body shows up. Its would be completely unrealistic if you couldn't lean, and would also ruin that "tactic" feel to it.

And iron sights give a much much more realistic feel and it is way more skill oriented because of the gun taking up a lot of the screen and the recoil actually affecting you.

Again, we don't need a CS. Those are my suggestions.

Edit : Oh yes and, although not extremely "important", Co-op would be wonderful.

Edit 2 : At the moment there is absolutely nothing appealing about this multiplayer. It is just DM or TDM where you simply run around and fire, there is no thinking involved, therefore this game will never take off. Again, this is why the One Death Round mode needs to be added.

Actually, now that I think about it, we need the multiplayer to feel EXACTLY like single player without the extremely fast sprinting. In single-player I find myself using every cover available to my advantage, and if I don't, I die. It needs to be like that.

To those who think sprinting shouldn't be removed or slowed down : Would you rather have a game where you sprint around in circles and straff back and forth in the open to prevent getting shot, or would you prefer for everyone to be forced to use COVER! I honestly hope you choose the second choice. No sprint = Forced to cover or die = Much more fun.

Please add your thoughts about this, for I think it is the only thing this game needs at the moment.

I agree with this post, I don't believe stalker uses its singplayer story line in multiplayer atall. In MP i feel it's just another shooter.
A few things i believe could improve it are;

Use stalkers outside maps to your advantage,

Use 1 death per round so dying has a penalty (Causing people to play skillfully instead of run in and BOOM BOOM BOOM)

And coop would be nice, perhaps COOP attacking a group of bandits or something aline those lines (Maybe even a level of the game)

Be able to stealth in Multiplayer, Running around with a rocketlauncher was done by QUAKE around 10 years ago.
