What are anomalies for and how to unbind some particular keys?

(Sorry for the topic name, apparently the ' ' character is not displayed in the Header
It seems that it isn't displayed in the body either - anyway, it was the "plus" character)

Hi everybody,

I would like to ask a few questions about S:SoC.
I've only been playing it for a few hours so far and I'm not sure what is the point of anomalies.
Do they have a specific purpose or are the just anomalies and that is it?

My second question is: is it possible to unbind the '*' and '/' keys which
are used for time acceleration and use it for normal functions?
You see, I play my games on the NumPad and those two keys are usually my
flashlight and reload buttons. But I can't use them in Stalker because
they are somehow hardcoded in the engine.

Any answers are appreciated.

Have a nice day.
