Some issues i noticed in 1.4002(Brain Vat, Eliminate the heli's, Eliminate mutants in Countryside)

1. Brain Vat mission in Yantar. After the first time of entering the Brain room you get knocked out and spawned where the wire was. After going to the professor and mentioning this, the dialogue is somewhat not understandable (esc_nimble_work_task3_brain_8b):

After doing the measurements(Killing 4 controllers, which are a bit overpowered imo, 2 mags of 7.62x39 with the sniper AK. Same goes for bloodsuckers), the same dialogue where he gives you the mission can be tripped, even though it doesn't do anything.

Bringin the measurements is also glitchy, as you dont get anything for completing the mission and the line "esc_nimble_work_task3_helm_5" appears:

2. Heli's that Petrenko orders you to eliminate are invisible in Bar-Rostok. Only thing you can see are the flashes when they shoot, and that's how i managed to destroy them.

3. When the military guy in Countryside gives you the mission to eliminate the accumulation of fleshes, killing all the fleshes and boars in south-east part of the map won't complete the task. I'm guessing that some of the fleshes that should be in the marked area of the map just ran somewhere else in the map.

1. About the brain sequence, I noticed that the 4 controllers spawn on top of each other in the same room the 8 bloodsuckers were and they trigger the moment you "wield" that thing you need for the measurements. The countdown also stops and resets if you switch to a weapon and back so the best strategy I found was to pull out the geiger thing half-way through the chamber so that triggers the controllers, immediately switch to a shotgun (I had a Spas-12 at the time), run back to the room and quickly shoot all the controllers in the head. If you're lucky and/or have a good aim and despite being in extremely close quarters, they should go down in a couple of headshots each at almost point blank range. They won't have time to spawn those "ghostly" mutants that cause psi damage, they won't have the chance of using their own psi attack because of the close quarters and they won't be able to use their melee attack either because you should still be able to cover behind one of the collapsed sections of the ceiling/furniture. When all 4 of them are dead, just go back in the room and do the measurements again in peace, as nothing else will spawn.

2. Haven't had that bug myself for some reason, guess I was lucky for once. But what I did notice is that the heli can apparently shoot through walls and ceilings so the best tactic is to retrieve the rpg from the dead Duty on the roof before talking to the guy that triggers the heli assault, so that you don't have to run around avoiding being shot to death and will make the encounter a bit easier.

3. I've had the same problem myself. Killed everything I could see, still couldn't complete the quest. It's either bugged or some of the mutants do indeed wander off. What I also noticed is that out of the two areas marked on the map, the one on the far bottom spawns the flesh mutants correctly the moment you get close to the center of the trees, but in the second area on the top nothing happens.

Was the dialouge and outcome for the brain mission also bugged for you? Completly agree that it's a bit difficult to kill all the controllers, for me there was one before i started the measurements, and 3 more spawned where the groza is. Bloodsuckers and controllers have way too much health, 1 mag of 7.62 or 5.56/5.45 usually isnt enough. On the other hand, snorks are too weak and go down with 3-5 rounds.

Some useful mutant tactics that have served me well.

The Yantar documents (Sci Exped) is recognized as bugged.

As is the SP-100 suit mission as far as the dialogues go. But at least it doesn't CTD.

Bloods ARE harder in DC but I'm finding that Poker's spaz blaster (lightened, extended 'mag') does a pretty good job with birdshot.
It used to be possible to snipe bloods from range with a headshot. Not now.

If you can avoid the kinetic blast from a controller, getting in his face with a knife is very effective, as the clawing defense seems a bit weak.

Snorks in DC are utter pussies. A few rounds from a handgun seem effective. The head is VERY vulnerable. Just avoid the kick or pack enough rupture protection so that it doesn't matter much.

Burers. Hide behind something solid for the K-blasts. Trigger it into HUDS (hands up, don't shoot) mode, and run in with a knife to the head. It might be necessary to close distance in stages. They can also be sniped, or if they are waddling off - attacked from behind - with a knife.

Pdogs - headshot from range, preferably. Otherwise, headshot as they run AT you, preferably from outside of their gulag.

Blind doggies - knife/handgun. But watch out for the white ones that seem to 'push'.

Poltergeists - shotgun. Handgun also effective.
Pyrogeists - If stationary, grenades. In motion, use handgun to try and lure it through some nearby anomaly. If attacking, shotgun and move swiftly.

(Having written this^^ I'm now seeing a pattern develop)
