v1.4004 Issues

Take in mind the following for this thread:

•First of all, SPOILERS!!!
•I was playtesting v1.4004 downloaded on the 14th May 2017
•Used the following:
---God Mode
---Unlimited Ammo (Only discovered later on that I could do this)
---Novice Difficulty
---Custom Actor.ltx for faster run speed (4.5)
•Full Dynamic Lighting DX9 setting
•Also some cheeki breeki and Hardbass background music

List:

1. Some items don't always stack (Weapons, Armor & Ammo excluded)

2. Randomly get NPC Broken shooting animation, but his bullets is actually hitting me

3. Nimble is all broken (Non-quest related)

4. Armor Upgrades not showing on the item display

5. Mutants aren't very persistent, like they have a distance meter as to how far they chase you

8. Garbage Bandits with PMm broken shooting animation, same as No. 2 but what's even worse, he did not even shoot.

9. Sniper Range limited, although he sees you, he cannot shoot you past a certain point, about by this bush (See 9.1)

10. Although you gave Wolf the key, you can still open the door to his stash, should be locked.

11. In certain angles, you cannot see NPC's beyond the door in the North Agro Building facing south

12. Ammo pickups are 99% of the time 4 or lower. Sometimes if you kill an NPC while he switches weapons, they drop a full clip of the gun they hold. (Originally I thought this was Master difficulty, but it is so in all difficulties)

13. Although Mole and the Loners retreat from the army, they just go back after you talked to Mole again, relieved to have evaded the army. Doesn't make sense

21. Met the guy that gives information for Construction Side at Agroprom, also almost killed by Military stationed by Agroprom Garbage level transition. Although an optional NPC, he still carries vital information to complete the Construction Site and shouldn't spawn so close to there.

22. I think that Sids Military Documents quest should not be a prerequisite of the huge questline for document retrieval in the game, Some people find the Military Document quest hard and frustrating, so they end up skipping it, or if you are a fast player and ignore that quest and complete Agroprom before doing the Military Document request, you don't really revisit agroprom and these 2 reasons leave huge potential for skipping this huge questline

23. When there's a blowout, Fox will fall to the ground when you speak to him and then rise when you end the dialog

24. If you kill the north military checkpoint in Cordon (Before Garbage) and when they respawn later on and you travel from Garbage back to Cordon, you spawn in the middel of 4 soldiers, and if you are in veteran/master, you will end up dying guarenteed. So I think you should spawn a little more north, at least beyond the truck. Also, whenever they respawn, they still show the same dialog "Remember the rules Stalker", but they are hostile

25. Saving and loading with blowouts can create more blowouts

32.3. There's a rare bug where the arena announcement still goes off after your fight, initiating the cheer animation for all NPC's that appear inside the arena. It seems like you must speak to the Arena Doorman to fix this.

33.1. General Voronin (Great Metal Factory version) should not give you his quest on first visit. You must first get some reputation, for e.g. after you cleared Rostok Factory for Duty
33.2. I saw that someone posted somewhere that if you still have his quest and he retreats to Pripyat Outskirts, he doesn't have a dialog to complete the quest and his map icon also doesn't reset

34. Somehow a boar spawned in Colonel Petrenko's office

35. Don't know what happened, but somehow the blue box at the arena entrance is now floating. Might be because the Arena Doorman spawned too close to the box and the box was forced upwards

38. Find "another" way out of the mines doesn't make sense, because you can just leave the way you came in, it would make sense if there is an army blockade at the railway tunnel you came in that blocks you

62. The "Radar car" always had a knackered carb which gets you to mid-Dead City. The boot was disabled circa v1.3002 - probably because people bitched about losing loot in a dog/burer attack ..

67. Milo the Trader in merc bar is still broken. If you bring his precious Gauss Gun he will take it - but the lowlife in the bar attack (you obviously defend yourself)
He will give the follow up mission, but because you wipe the rest of the merc base (or just run off), he retreats to the back of the bar and never re-emerges. Bottom line: if you get the "Gauss Box", you can't unload it onto him - so spend the rest of the game lugging TEN KILOS of excess weight...

Honestly, they should default that car's settings again, they can just quickload then take care of the mutants and have a nice drive afterwards while flipping off a few dead bodies.

This message could indicate that the wounded guy is anywhere in the zone. An extra hint must be added, because this quest is easily missed. EDIT: Should maybe initiate an actual quest with small hint as to where the wounded guy is. If you leave the area without finishing the mission, it fails

I actually had no problems with all Construction Site missions.
Among other things:
•The tech is very expensive and his prices barely drops if you finish his missions.
•Milo has some trading issues, but you can bypass it by just selling something with equal to or more money than the stuff you are buying from him.

Admittedly I'm playing this in 1.4002 (1.4004/5 seems delayed)
But it completes just fine. For reasons that become clearer, the vic survives any Blowouts that take place on Forest. He just initiates a sub-plot that gained me two 'Dwarf hands' and a Compass (fwiw)
If you don't meet - you don't get the quest.

Seems to work as is. Much other stuff has issues.

It's easier to get tech fixes in Agroprom and yes - Muuuuch cheaper.

Actually, my Construction Site venture mentioned, was my previous playthrough of v1.4002. I skipped the whole area in v1.4004 because everything was working fine and any previous issues were already reported

MmhYeah,
It was at this point that a pair of mercs attempted to drill me and I had to shoot them. With the rest of the base taking pot-shots etc.
Milo ran off.
I'll dig it out again from the savegame and see what needs to be done as a workaround, but it's a bit off if I get stuck with 10kg of luggage..

Incredibly, you can save this and complete it in freeplay.

Even if Strelok's book evaporates from the game.

What irritates me is Sid's daft questlet to find Battery, Spring and Dummy.
I know where to get a 'dummy-dummy', and I know who will give me a Battery (assuming this is the version Seriy coughs up with his Pellicle)

Doesn't seem too practical at this stage of the game.

Same effect when you switch them off in the next scenario

72. Cannot do anything with a Supernova Artifact

74. Odd glitches with army at countryside where if you load near them, they say that you were warned, but they are not hostile, but sometimes when you quickload too close, they go hostile with the same message

85. After talking to Fang, you must go to Pripyat, but you can only continue the quest if you specifically enter the north-east route at the Army Warehouses to Radar, the quest should continue on entering any part of radar

In X16, if you switch on the Brain and you go to the switches in a different order than from the top to the bottom, the text in the middle of the screen is all wrong, for e.g. if you leave switch 1 and 2, then you go to the third switch, it tells you to go back to the control room and hit that switch, but you haven't done 1 and 2 yet. Same effect when you switch them off in the next scenario

Yeah, where the hell does that piece of crap come from? At first I thought Hermit was sticking me with it, but I just left him and Countryside behind and it's not in inventory.


73. Non-adjusted psi helmet is useless after getting adjusted psi helmet. I think that when you pay a visit to either Sakharov or Deedee, they trigger a dialog to give the non-adjusted psi helm back to them.

Currently I have THREE helmets, as planned, all massing 1.0kg.. Maybe it's not taken in case you have the logical paradox of "Well why didn't you take the 'other' one as well"

74. Odd glitches with army at countryside where if you load near them, they say that you were warned, but they are not hostile, but sometimes when you quickload too close, they go hostile with the same message

75. After X16, when you go back to countryside and you get close enough for Hermit to spawn, you cannot talk to him, you must save and load, then you can speak to him.

That remains unchanged from 1.3003.

Go in. Shut the door. Make a save. (Optional, put on your telepathy rocks) EAT and DRINK F.U.L.L. Take the loot. Go to sleep. Eat and drink on wakeup. Drill the controller. Works every time for me..

Don't think so. It's always been like this in LA. Check the town name as you come back from Pripyat into Outskirts. The place is called Tchernobyl


82. In X7, the override_lock.txt does not download to your downloads section in your PDA, now you cannot get the secret ending

It did d/l for me in 1.4002 but as you say doesn't show in the PDA (never did either in 1.3003, needed a workaround) I have had BOTH secret endings. You're missing something else..


83. In X7, after you disable the Earthquake Doomsday Device,only then Strelok says "Hey, come and get me!", which is too late now......
