Night Vision Bugs

I am sure almost everyone encountered this before:

•When night vision is on, it causes an ACCESS VIOLATION CTD error when loading while having a game session open, i.e.
---Switching levels,
---Quickloading,
---Or loading when you died with Night Vision on

Workaround: Must get used to switching night vision off before switching levels or quickloading. When you died with night vision on, press ESC to go to the menu, hit Quit Game, then load your game again to avoid the CTD

•Also, night vision does not work when you don't have a flashlight equipped

Saved me the trouble of starting the thread...
Also, changing a flashlight that is in use, even trying to drop it or stash it, can be mighty unstable, especially if NV is on.

I'll give that a try

One other thing with Night Vision, when it is on, and you load successfully, the game still thinks it is, but with no Night Vision effects, so you must switch it off to switch it back on, so in short, the Night Vision Boolean must be set to false on load, regardless if you have on equipped.

That might explain why, if you switch off, transition to another level, then switch on is ONE 'N'. (Expected normal operation)
But it wouldn't explain why when you suit up or recover from a crash, you need TWO 'Ns'.

I'm assuming here that you suit up from "woolly jumper" state and do not have an NV in inventory; that the NV is an inbuilt part of a high-tier eco suit.

(OT - This has been the bane of the game for me in the fancy SSP-100 that I now have fully upgraded) Nice suit. Nimble ain't gettin' delivery
It (the NV) also bugs out with the SSP-99m, so it's a game bug rather than item specific, I think.

This will be fixed in the upcoming patch. Until then, dont use nightvision when changing levels, or dont save the game with having them "on".
