Porting weapons possible?|
I haven't posted anything here in years, but I've been quietly modding STALKER this whole time. The Lost Alpha Developer's Cut just came out, which opens up a whole new Zone of possibilities.
However, based on some carefully-controlled tests (still just getting started), it seems that any attempt to add a new weapon from a CoP-based mod causes the game to crash. If the LADC can't support CoP weapon models (even though it uses the CoP weapon system), it will make it difficult or impossible to port weapons from any other source. Has anyone else encountered this problem yet?
I've been trying with Arsenal Overhaul 3.1 weapons intended for Call of Chernobyl, but matching the LADC config setup exactly.
The crashes are always similar to the one below, and happen well before the new weapon can be equipped:
