hello All,

I just returned to play SoC for probably 8th time. This time playing with Complete MOD just for fun. However, after spending few days in game I wanted to tweak few aspects.

I would like to simplify wounded logic, problem is that I have little clue of lua. Complete Mod helps in a way that it already has some of db extracted and somewhat tested, so game is pretty stable, but when it comes to xr_wounded.script it is only mentioned in modules.script, but does not exist in script folder - I am not sure if that is a problem I can I just simply create one?

Anyway.. I guess before getting in that trouble it would be good to establish if that is possible with scripts or elsewhere.

In essence I want something simple like:

if health is below 50%, then use med kit or if not med kit in inventory = wounded state
if health is below 30%, then wounded state.

then I can do the rest to achieve my results by modding weapons and ammo

Would xr_wounded.script be right place to set this? Maybe there are such mod already?

You can get xr_wounded.script from the ZRP, if you don't want to extract it from gamedata.dbb yourself, or just download ShoC_Treatment_1.0.7z from the ZRP download page for all of the script files, here: http://www.metacognix.com/files/stlkrsoc/

But you are correct; it's been done already: stalkers can heal themselves and others. Look into xStream's AI Pack or Rulix' AI Additions for SoC, which incidentally are included in the 1.07 versions of the ZRP. These routines give NPCs optional and individually-selectable abilities so you can just have NPCs repair themselves after battles if that's what you want.

It's interesting that xr_wounded.script is not touched by these AI enhancements. It's somewhat realistic. If you are that wounded, you can't help yourself to a medkit. It follows your own logic, except that the default human NPC wounded state is around 10% instead of 30%, which is closer to that of zombified stalkers.
