[REL] Dynamic Shaders 2.0 CTP

Hello all!

A community technology preview (CTP) of the long awaiting version 2.0 of the Dynamic Shaders mod is available for download on moddb:

http://www.moddb.com/mods/dynamic-shaders

Let me know your comments and thoughts.

CAUTION: This mod is all about configuration. It *could* be used "as is" but in most cases you'll want to check the various settings to adjust the mod to your liking, or make it fit well into any other mod.

Enjoy

Hello Dear Meltac

As I am so pleased to be able to test and see your mod effects on one of my favorite games: I merge your mod with my Oblivion Lost 2.5 game.

At start,I was a little afraid because now ,there are many files to merge.
Some errors by me, but with your comments, it's finally very usefull to merge!
Thank's a lot also for that!

Awesome!

Hi again, and thanks for taking the effort to merge DS into other mods

Those screens look beautiful, although in the first two I couldn't say how they would look without DS - a screen comparison would be nice here.

As for your issues I'm not sure if I understand all of them, or, which of those are issues that you are still having and which have been already solved, so you might want to ask me more specifically...

As for how to enable NV, that's now bound to the TAB key

The main menu error with the short key looks like some issue with OL because DS doesn't use that short key at all (nor the "hud" object). Most probably some merging issue.

Hello Dear Meltac

I made a little video to try to illustrate and show the fantastics effects of your awesome version 2.0 dynamics shaders.
And specially the

- Reflective visors follows (from the outside and the inside)
- Reflective dynamic wet surfaces (totally new implemented)
- Adaptive Night Vision Scopes, now aussi switchable by keypress
- Indoor light reflections in selected places
- Refractive water drops on visor HUD DURING rain fall.

(Better seen in HD in 1080p HD mod cinema)

http://youtu.be/-_IGhfOvrQQ

I would like now to test also the thermal and infrared Vision,but...
I don't managed to see the effect ,for the moment.
May be there is an option or something I did'nt know how to do it...
Perhaps also not avalaible on this mod.
I saw in OGSE they made specifics textures to see correctly the effect and so ,we can't change or modify some textures in OGSE Mod.

Is there a specific thing to do,please, to see your thermal/infra effects?

Again ,how to thank you to realize such a mod!
Perfect,beautiful...incredible to see that under SoC!
Unthinkable there are few years...
I never seen that and such effect since I play in SoC,and I'm so happy to see these effect in my favorite mod for SoC:the also fabulous OLR!

Best Regards Sir

Hi olivius! Thanks for making that video (and for the compliments)

The thermal vision effect in DS doesn't require any special textures.

However it's currently enabled only on some specific guns with scopes. As far as I remember the SVN sniper rifle has the black/white infrared and the FN2000 the colored thermal vision. You can assign the effect to other weapons, the same way as you configure the nightvision color for each weapon separately - see shader_control.script.

Note that if using Gnomus Scopes or some other scope texture that shows an area of the screen outside the scope (not black), you will currently see a "weather change" going on which is required at the moment to produce the thermal effect. I am looking for a way to avoid this but for the CTP that's just the way it is.
