That's interesting, I never did try to trade with Hunter. Mostly I've just tried to give upgrades to Petruha, Tolik, Fanatic, Guide, and Seiry. I've never gotten any of them to accept another weapon, even if it is in max condition, fully loaded, and uses the same ammo as their current weapon.

Though to be fair, Guide has an MP5, for which there isn't an upgrade of the same ammo type anyway.

poked around some more

Dropped a brand new SPAS for that Warrant Officer in garbage and he ditched that stupid sawn off

got onto that website with ShoC's gamedata and looked up the weapons

VAL has its own rank, Groza and FN2000 have the Groza rank, SVU has its rank, Gauss gun+SVD count as SVD rank

VIntorez has its own rank

the AK74u, MP5, LR300,SIG550, ak74,akakan, L86 , g36 count as a AK74 rank, sawn off has its own rank, Chaser13 and SPAS have their own ranks. Most pistols have a PM rank but walther and UDP compact have their own ranks...

now if I could find how do NPC's follow these ranks..


Everyone knows that UD{ pistol right next to Max when you visit the Army Warehouses? I just figured it out...since Max's reward for you is the Walther( which has its own rank) max equips it but drops his UDP.

So now im trying to get Sparrow's colt and the army guys Fort 15 but no luck...sparrow takes the UDP but doesn't drop his old pistol. Why does max drop his? Maybe I have to change locations?

just what iwas looking for. Ty Still having some problems with It NPCs don't want to drop their MP5's for brand new sawn offs even though sawn off is supposed to be rank 7 while AR's are rank 6...

also does anyone know if NPCs regenerate health a'la player character?

Well, I'm not completely sure since this is anecdotal....But when playing Clear Sky with the TFW mod, I had a perk letting me see the health of NPC's. Their health did indeed slowly go up over time (This was before medics were added).

I think it would be the same with SoC, but, best way to test it would be to hop down to the Machine Yard, kill all the bandits but one, shoot the last one in the foot a few times, come back later, and see if he can take the same amount of bullets.

I looked around in the gamedata

by default NPCs don't have any health regen unfortunately..unlike zombies

but how much health does a medkit give to an NPC when you revive them? 60? Or nothing at all? Does it matter if the medkit is an army/scientific.does it heal them to full like the player or all medkits are the same to an NPC? (irrc npcs have their own special medkits or something you can even get one of them in CoP if you make an NPC go into panic mode )

Also, When NPC's go down into that mode how much health do they have? 10%?

And i don't think NPC's being green,neutral or even hostile matters when it comes to weapon switching..as all human NPCs use the m.stalker file in the gamedata
