Heal Enemies Mini-Mod

Purpose of the Mini-Mod:

Enables the player to heal most wounded enemies in the game.

**********************************************************

The following can be healed:

- Bandits (talk/trade without save/reload of game, in most cases).
- Mercs (talk/trade without save/reload of game, in most cases).
- Military (talk/trade without save/reload of game, in some cases).
They will most likely not attack other military, and they will probably not be attacked by other military, even after changing their faction to Loners.
- Monolith (talk/trade without save/reload of game, in some cases)

- Zombified stalkers, can't be healed, you can start a dialogue, but they have only one request.

**********************************************************

"Normal" enemies spawned by the game can be healed, and become Loners & friendly to the player.
These converts, will attack their former faction members if there are some around,
so you might as well have a loaded spare weapon for them just in case.

**********************************************************

Instances where healing is not possible/advisable:

- The Monolith scripted to appear at the barrier, have the dialogue option, but can't be healed.

- The Bandits that hold Nimble captured can be healed, but you can't complete the quest without killing all
of the bandits, even if they are healed, and changed faction to Loners.

- Enemies that are scripted by the game, or are a part of auto-quests can either:
- Not be healed.
- Can be healed but then the quest/scripted event can't complete.

So if you can talk to a wounded enemy, but the "give a medkit" is not available....Well You know what to do Marked One.

**********************************************************

Installation:

1: Download

3: Unzip, and copy gamedata folder to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow Of Chernobyl installation folder. NB: Use 7zip: www.7zip.org

4: Edit fsgame.ltx as usual with mods ($game_data$ = true|true|)

5: Start Game. New game should not be required, the Mini-Mod should work with a game already in progress. (See below)

NB: Please backup your current gamedata folder, before merging this Mini-Mod, with another Mod

**********************************************************

NB:
The mini-mod consists of 4 files I edited to enable healing of enemies.
They are the vanilla files from the game patched to 1.0005, that i extracted.
This mini-mod should be mergeable with other mods, if they use the vanilla versions of those 4 files.
Mods that already use some, or all, of the 4 files, will require some manual editing of the files, to merge properly.

**********************************************************

Feel free to use this Mini-Mod in your own Mods.
But please credit me for my work

In short, i was not expecting the soldier to stay in the former position after changing faction. But he did.

Good job, Lobo.

Heal Enemies Mini-mod version 2

Version 2 of the Mini-Mod

*** Heal Enemies Mini-mod made by: 100RadsBar ***
Enables player to heal enemies, except zombified S.T.A.L.K.E.R.S.

Version info:

Version 1: Heals enemies. Enemies will be friendly, and change faction to loners/stalkers.

Version 2: Removed the ability to trade with injured NPC's (Friendly, Neutral, and Enemy). Credits go to XiaNi.

Installation:

Copy gamedata folder to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. installation folder.
Edit fsgame.ltx as usual with mods ($game_data$ = true|true|)

New game not needed.

Editing might be required if your mod already has the files that are contained in this mod.

Mod is based on the vanilla files from STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl patch 1.00005.

!!! NOTE: Enemies that are part of a task/quest are not advised to heal, since you will not be able to complete the quest!!!

Example: Eliminate the bandits by the Agroprom Research Institute. If you wound one of the bandits , and heal him, the quest will not
complete, since the bandit is not dead. Killing him after the he has changed faction will complete the task.
However, you will suffer in relation to loners, since you just killed a loner, not a bandit.

Feel free to use, but please credit XiaNi, and 100RadsBar.
