MORE MODDERS INFO

Modders, visit the TecnoBacon modders pages for new info on the Teleporter.
I have listed ALL 3,966 Info Portions in the game. this is the LUA serialized run-time list, not the game task index.

I really like the freeplay option on update 5...at lat I dont have to play the whole story again
A few questions as I recently intalled and I am not sure if installed correctly. should the flash light be blueish? is freeplay starting point at the same spot as the regular mod?

I Only installed Gametada files...not the bin or ltxs....should I do them? I have no prob with memory so I though I skipped those.

look in this folder:

\gamedata\textures\wpn\ump45_zeka

you should find two .dds files:

silenñer
silenсer


delete the "silencer" file and rename the "silenñer" file to "silencer"

restart the game and continue

Those are my re-worked and properly attached HALOGEN because its supposed to be post 2012. Check out what the law uses now, bluish-green. It can be adjusted but remember that gloss factor and the materials used have a great effect (why SHOC flashlight was so dim).

POPULATING THE FAR REACHES OF THE ZONE

I am considering the creation of a new packet system for modders that could create a savefile of NEW INSERTIONS via the SPAWN MENU. This means that you would be able to walk around the level (any level) and just spawn a pack of dogs, NPCs, anything in the game. When all is in place, take this special save file and use it to create your scripts and BOOM, INSTANT INTEGRATION. Anybody like the idea enough for us to waste time on right now? I need to hear from you Modders out there.

We never immagined that our mod would be this far in just TWO WEEKS! 99% traffic load again this weekend, WOW!!!!!

thanks for the reply. what do you mean to check the law? IRL? or in game la?

I love the intensity of the beam of light, it is just that the blue colour beats the fabulous texture colours..I never used night-vission in any stalker cause it reminds me of commodore (PC in 90's for the younger ones)

Headlamp upgrades, this is on my so far unsent list for Tecnobacon to consider.

- High Intensity Discharge headlamp. Like the idea. Benefit from a more subtle blue tint. It may be too good for a Rookie, read on.

Could it be an upgrade from the standard Halogen lamp, either purchased, found, or perhaps added to a quest reward?

Say the player starts with rookie gear, an ordinary cheap yellowish incandescent lamp (still scary for X18, maybe X16). Upgrade mid-game to a white Halogen beam with greater range. Then make the expensive blue tinted HID lamp available late in the game.

You'd get the familiar gameplay system where you start with weak items, then get useful, satisfying, rewards which "level up" the player (to better gun armor knife, now lamps too). What do you think, good idea, bad idea?

Brainstorming mode follows:
Could be more than a 3 step upgrade, worst to best. Maybe 2 types of each lamp if one sort is said to have a better battery pack (halogen and halogen plus).

Could the lamp become something you can drop, sell, equip, maybe carry a spare.
Could the lamp become damaged, weak, like the guns and armor, or a torch that burns out.
Opens up the possibility of losing the equipped lamp to an explosion, or when frightened, just as dogs and burers may sometimes cause us to drop a wielded item.

We could start X18 or any scary level with a flickering candle which goes out if you run (just kidding).
