Artefact deterioration

I would like to see artefacts deteriorate when used.

I mean they originally got their "powers" while being submitted to anomalies for a certain amount of time, so why not deteriorate?

Then you should be able to "recharge" them in anomalies that can create them.

Yes, I suppose you could use the transmutation script to just add life to them.

Artefact deterioration

This artifact deterioration idea doesn't sound to bad. I could see it working with artifacts that only have positive characteristics, but what about artifacts that have both negative and positive characteristics?

all would deteriorate that made sense. radioactivity would run out, but things like increased bleeding due to spikes would not. slugs and such would run outa slime eventually, so both positive and negative go with it... it's easy to imagine which would/ would not wear.

Lets take the thorn for example.

The radiation protection would get weaker, and the bleeding worse cause maybe the thorny bits are poking deeper into you for being on your belt for so long

Wait! I was talking about the artifacts effects positive and negative both decreasing down to nothing. Using your example the Thorn, it's radiation would go down and the bleeding get less worse.

What about the unique rare artifacts? There are only a few of them in the game like the Mama's Beads.

It says that the anomaly is unknown to create it or something.
