CO-OP Not giving up til I get an answer Mr. Reba!!

I pulled over 11 pages that the search engine pulled with people asking for Co-op in multiplayer and the only response from you that I saw was
this: GSC knows how important co-op is. At one point even the possibility of tasking a separate team with it was weighted. The fact that GSC is not talking about co-op now implies either that co-op is still unmanageable or that it is being kept as a surprise. In either case, it does not make sense to ask.
So have they even done anything with this? And it does make sense to ask, It may prompt more sales, Co-op is more popular than maybe even you may think. So Sir can you please check on it again and please sir can you respond! Thank you.

Nah. Really. I read your previous messages, but have already made up my mind and explained my reasoning. Repeating yourself won't do anything.

You are, of course, free to investigate this question on your own.

No disrespect intended but how would I investigate this myself, when you are the go between, It's not like I can take a bus to gsc HQ and sit down and have a drink with them and BTW whats up with co-op? And even if I could any russian I learned from stalker mostly cuss words would probably not make for a pleasant conversation....
What I don't understand is why take a hard ball approach. Ahhh forget it, guess it's not important...But thanks for taking the time to at least respond, It's appreciated, have a good day or night which ever fits.

As I have said many times, I'd love coop for this game. But, developers does not care what I have to say.

I personally think that Co-op would be a great addition to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and not only with two players. I personally think that it would be better with 2-10 players, allowing players to create groups in which they can travel in, much like NPC groups. But as Don has said, GSC isn't talking about co-op for a couple very good reasons. If you have read anything about upcoming Clear Sky then you would know that they are upgrading every aspect of the game and they may even add a new multiplayer mode (which might be co-op!). I personally think you should stop bothering the Dev's and wait a few more months until Clear Sky comes out.

Maybe Co-op is too late for SoC, maybe GSC have to take it in mind for Clear Sky?

Hey Don, can you please tell us if Clear Sky is being worked hardly on Multiplayer?

Have all fun,
Dade

You know what I think would be good for this game CO-OP wise, with the way the game feels, its whole A-Life, how each section of the zone seems alive, each town looking lived in, passing of night and day, you get a real feel for the environment and how everything works. I think, with a co-op as the base, why not make a MMO like mod, or mode. I sent a email to the developers, didint expect or get much response, but I would like to see what you think of it. Each zone, and the main base, town, or complex that resides in them, why not allow all zones to be accessed, and large scale teams, or player made groups/communities.
Each major base could be faught for and defended, and the people who are "defending" their homes must also go out into the surrounding areas to collect and scavenge needed supplies, say food, with some sort of hunger based system, no food, community dies off. Not sure if the game engine can handle this, with or without heavy modding, but pretty much take all the NPCs from the single player game, and the towns, bases, and complexes they live in and maintain, and open it up to players. Think how fun it would be to defend against other players just for the sake of living there and, give you a real sense of accomplishment and attachment to the bases you "live" in.

I am considering buying stalker after seeing it with my brother, however I have to agree that I would GREATLY appreciate the coop feature. All of the great old games had some sort of cooperative feature, and all of the current games have mods dedicated to them, (hl, hl2, etc).

Seriously, I see it's only 22$ now on steam, and the new one looks great. Can I possibly beg a coop with the single player?
