Mass Effect Andromeda

Game is not as bad as I feared, but there are still some awful bugs in patch 1.10 (better solutions than just loading earlier saves are much appreciated):

- Any saves done in the ground vehicle take minutes to load. At least the saves do load eventually, at first I thought they were completely broken. It's best to always make manual saves outside the vehicle.

- Autosaves sometimes stop working, especially in missions where manual saves are not allowed. This forces you to replay long stretches every time you get killed, which is especially annoying due to the grinding nature of ME's fighting.

- In one mission (Voeld - Remove the Heart) there's a door that won't open after the first reload. Apparently the only fix is to load an earlier save, if you have one.

I haven't played any of these.

Is this that Game that people were enraged on the ending and they redid it?

No that was ME3, its "extended cut" ending was still awful.

This new one features good/great gameplay, some very large open levels and missions you can do in any order, but it's not atmospheric like Stalker, only just as buggy.

This is interesting. I thought you would not dare touch the "SJW" game lol.

@Tejas
It is a good series really. Soft Science Fiction, but damn fun. The ending of 3 was flawed for many reasons, and ironically thematic ideas werent those reasons lol

The ending of Mass Effect 3 was like a kick in the chest. Without getting too much into it, it was hyped up to be a game with dozens of endings, if not hundreds and you ended up with three, four with the Free DLC. They were colour coded. These colours only changed flavour text in the epilogue they added as free DLC. It was very bad.

I still love the series but have a hard time replaying the third one. The beginning is too linear to replay in an enjoyable way. The ending is too anticlimactic. I still like to play from 1-3 trying out different characters and seeing how different they turn out but it's kind of exhausting by the time you reach 3.

I still recommend it to people. Though I haven't touched andromeda, I saw the initial bugs and lousy dialogue and spent it's entire launch laughing at videos of it. I swear Bioware is phasing out the competent members of the team with these wannabe hollywood rejects and talentless coders. Mass Effect 1 had very few bugs, so did 2. Three had some funny ones like your head spinning around in cutscenes and then this game. Those videos reminded me of the Room with Tommy Wiseau, minus the dracula voice.

Now I wanna play a Tommy Wiseau game.

I think 'Mass Effect II' was the best game that they released in the series.

Stalkerstein,

ME2 is my favorite too, something of a guilty pleasure. Despite the horrible console gameplay it's quite atmospheric. Maybe it's the music, which feels pretty uninspiring in Andromeda (when your ground vehicle's engine hum doesn't drown it out). The cheesy characters in ME2 have some entertainment value as well.

Maiman,

Yes, not only are the color coded endings cheaply done, but none of the choices feel very convincing. Personally I think the Indoctrination Theory is the only thing that makes sense. That doesn't mean the writers actually meant it that way, but they way the ending was executed I think all bets are off. http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/User_blog:Awayorafk/Believe._The_Indoctrination_Theory.

Charcaro,

The SJW/LGBT indoctrination was too blatant in ME3, but the previous two games are OK. ME Andromeda seems much less horrible than ME3, and I just chuckle at their eager attempts to include more female aliens (except for the generic Kett enemies, those are all male). There's also the token black guy and white female (just like in ME2), and I've read about a tranny somewhere, but nothing too serious.

I also like ME2, because it felt like a campy action movie in space. I felt the combat was more fun, if a bit less customizable. Honestly I did enjoy the combat in ME3, mostly because I played a lot of that tacked on multiplayer mode. Playing as a Volus and doing the bubble shield for some reason was the funniest thing ever for me at the time. I also liked the weapon variety in ME3, which ME2 was lacking.

Though the characters was the most redeemable part of Mass Effect 2. In 3 you didn't have too many options for squad mates. Andromeda from videos I've watched doesn't look like it has a single fun character, at least on par with the previous ones. I could be wrong, didn't touch that one.

Also Zaeed Massani was best character. That guy deserved a game of his own. Shame Robin Sachs died. RIP.

The irony is - you police art just like SJWs do. You and the SJWs are the same damned thing. No difference. And both you and they are barely literate Western imperialists.

God Damn gaming is going bad for the petty culture war of some idiots...

*sigh* Apart from that... do you not see the storytelling problems in Andromeda? Or were you too busy counting the genders of fictional space aliens to remember what school should have beaten into you about storytelling and writing?

Charcaro,

Why do you sound so rude and unpleasant? Are you trying to troll? Surely you must realize it makes me completely lose interest in discussing anything with you.
