sorry craig, I'm not much of a moder, but even if I was, after your outburst I'm not sure I would be inclined to be very helpful. you might be harsh, as you very well say, but there is no need to insult anybody, especially those you want to help you.

my spelling may suc but

i ask alot but i have some ideas to fix sdk editor
i will add pic later but here is a few ideas.

SDK 8 idea:

right click in view port or on selected object:
brings up option tools and there sub tree.

Edit >> cut/copy/past/Delete/undo/redo.
Selection >> invert/select all/unselect all.
Propertys.>> floating window.
Visability >> hide selected/ hide unselected/hide all/unhide all.
MultiRename >> prompt floating window.

this replaces the toolbar /tools header on right toolbar and

removes it from that tool bar.

tool bar header Scene and its tools are moved to the top
of the hud and placed on buttons with text representing its

function header,on clicking button its subtree
drops down allowing mouse pointer to escarole to desired function on

sub tree.

File/Scene/Compile/Image/Sounds/light anim editor/object

list/Preferences.

example of drop down for header "File"

FILE>>
Clear
Open..
Save
Save As
Open selection..
Save Selection As..
Make Pack
Open Recent
-------------------------

any header that go's straight to floater will do so as it holds its

functionality

now the tool bar on the left has more realastate as header
Scene and tools have been ordited to a much better function
environment.

import and export have file format conversion from editor it self
for its file transfer.
so max and Maya format need to be inter grated into the editor
to make import and export a solution.

now the hud design i have added a picture labeled 1-6

1.text button tool bar holding hedders :
File/Scene/Compile/Image/Sounds/light anim editor/object

list/Preferences.

2.Icon viable tool selection toolbar holding hedders:
undo/redo/select/move/rotate/add/uniform scale/percent CS toggle/non

uniform scale/moving snap toggle/angle snap toggle/zoom extent/zoom

existent selected/simulate/UseSimulatePosition.

note:simulate is represented by ">" icon
and UseSimulatePosition is represented by ">>" icon.

3.axes restriction tool bar that is allot smaller in size and has

these hedder:
picture of a lock.
X - restrict to X.
Y - restrict to Y.
Z - restrict to Z.
ZX - restrict to ZX.

4,view port view toggle tool bar is allot smaller in size and has

these hedder:
picture of an eye and holds these hedders "F/B/L/R/T/B/X"

5.left tool bar already explained above.

If you are changing/adding/modifying anything in the Stalker World then
it is impossible for you to be "ripped off" since you are not starting with
anything that you created or original content as the basis for your work.
If you are just after money/fame/recognition come up with your own ideas.

hmm funny that i can
but then again why would i use an editor i dont have a clue how to use
just to pop a game that will have to based apon stalker not to start world war 3 ^^

see i like add new content .the map of exclusion zone is public domain
id like to push a story out that before stalker..as they all want to be like him at the end.
the consequents of the stalker series is missing the prolog
and my version will be a prolog to stalker.
id like to make a mod and i intend to get fame and cash if gsc like it
,,i guess a few big if's lol

besides the point im looking for people who want to make a mod and are reliable
if not im looking for people to teach me what i need.

iv never made a mod only mapped levels in editors
im hot headed at times and im very creative.

i want to make a sos map stile in cop editor
i want to revamp Ai that is just bad
i want to add lots of cut seen
i want to redraw weapons
i want to re anime loading etc
i have many i wants but no ideas of how even though i could explain what i wanted in words.

An interesting option if you are really in for the long haul and it will be the long haul as I'm sure you realise would be to use the Crysis engine. There is a scheme available (or was a short while ago) for people like modders to get a free contract with them to use the latest version (at the time) of there engine and create a game that they can then promote and sell (Get this far and you'll be contracted to pay them for the use of the engine which is fair). I did not got fully into the details because of my inexperience but it looked like a good way to go especially considering what you want to do. As you said the zone is there in real life. GSC did not create it from ideas. Alright they did create the details but you know what I mean theres room for you to grow your own zone if you have the imagination and the cryengine2 (or is it 3) offers good support and provides help and your using a more user friendly platform apparently. Don't forget what I just explained is not a reliable source of info just roughly what I remember about the deal so if it interests you make sure to get reliable accurate facts on there offer.

hmm thank you very much for your input, far cry is nice but it is not stalkers editor
and this editor will be my bitch soon enough haha.im getting wormed up in max and having fun ,doing some high Polly meshing for high quality textures..time will tell

just as I learn... side of guard house south of start of sos
be cool to see if my scale rocks or if I bump my head as I run up steps..

If the height of that doorway in the editor is 2 units in height, then it will be 2 meters ingame. Its a 1:1 scale.
