Speaking of old games... Any of you here tried Jagged Alliance 2? I really like it with the 1.13 community patch.

read about the 1.13 patch on RPS a while ago, definitively sounds appealing

these kinds of strategy-games (turn-based) are basically the only ones I find interesting, since they do offer a kind of depth which RTS's rarely possess

I'm back into flying in my Flight Simulator 2004 again. Been 3 years ago since I've taken control of a virtual aircraft.

I've also been playing Cake of Duty Modern Bakeware a lot.

Ah, I've heard of that. You use cake and various kitchen utensils to pacify the angry foreign customers, correct?

Currently playing Prototype myself. Base jumping doesn't seem to be getting old any time soon.

@ Mr. Molecule

Mmm... That game sounds good.

@ Lord Santa

Yeah, too bad there aren't much games like that being developed these days. There are a couple I know though... Frozen Synapse and Xenonauts.

Although Xenonauts is still in development. It's sort of an XCOM remake with better features, some new ones too. Same 2D isometric view and destructible environments.

I play a bunch of games. You name it, and I probably have played it.

But I am currently looking forward for the game Elder Scrolls: Skyrim.

yeah; I bought Frozen Synapse as part of the Frozen Humble Indie Bundle (thingie)

loving it so far; reminds me of the tactical overview in Rainbow Six 3 (I think)

I've been keeping a keen eye on Xenonauts for some time now; since I am an old fan of the X-com series; I'm really looking forward to a finished product

(don't even get me started on the "X-Com reboot" *grumbles)

also if you haven't tried it; Silent Storm is a splendid game, well worth tracking down (it also has an expansion, called "Sentinels", if I'm not mistaken)

it's also turn-based with destructible environments (walls/floor, etc.)
based partly in WWII and partly... "futuristic"
might be worth checking out, if you're into the genre?

Looks good Lord Santa, I'll have to try that game out sometime.

I'm currently playing Jagged Alliance 2 with AIMNAS mod, I find it really fun with all the new guns, gun attachments, gear and maps. It has 1.13 integrated into it too.

Although it uses the old CtH system which I find better because shotguns are useful with it, with 1.13's new CtH, you're better off using a carbine, pistol or SMG.

Ahh, Silent Storm, it reminds me so much of Blitzkrieg and it's 3rd party spin offs. The game also probably had one of the best one liner in history like: "What are they, breading?" - He he LA.
